Obama certainly revealed his priorities in those first few minutes praising the local pols and conference organizers etc.

This was his “Katrina” moment.

His first priority should be to the victims and their families, and those locked down at Fort Hood. He coudn’t even praise the police officer who laid down his life to stop the killer.

President Bush’s first priority on hearing about 9/11 attack was NOT TO SCARE THE CHILDREN!!!

Our First Commander in Chief must be rolling in his grave!!

Am I the only one that sees a possible “wag the dog” scenario here... one that would distract AWAY from the thousands (40,000?) of anti-government-run-healthcare protestors in DC today? Or am I just remembering the Clintonista years unfondly.

Mao knew for well over an hour and a half.

And yes, the msm is omitting the shout out portion of his comments.

Do you believe they would have protected a republican in the same manner.

I think Pres. Bush had better justification for his "The Pet Goat" moment.

These were little kids he was with and I can understand his feelings in not wanting to upset or panic them.

"The Messiah," on the other hand, was with adults (nominally) and could have taken a completely different emotional tone.

Unless, of course, "the Messiah" is of the Lib/Commie ethos that adults should be treated as children and children treated as adults as is so popular these days.

And I thought it was just ME! I sat there befuddled wondering if anyone else was thinking that his casual political campaign type opening was weird.

Heard it. Was incredulous and then realized it was Barack Hussein Obama.
