What is outrageous to me is that our own soldiers are not trusted to carry a weapon on base. There I thought they were hired and trained to kill bad guys... Silly me.
What this situation has provided is a wonderful example of a place operating under the strictest gun controls STILL failing to prevent a gun-related crime. They have perimeter control. They have vehicle searches. They have locked and attended ammo lockers. They have regulations. They have police. They probably even have detection equipment.

Carry_Okie, your comments are right on target. I think you touched all the bases I would have, and it was a pleasure to see them articulated so well.
Gun control cannot work in the real world, because it disarms the honest, and dismisses the fact that the dishonest will continue to arm. The end result is that the honest are sitting ducks to be eliminated.
Concealed carry should be universal.
If you’re not a knuckle dragging felon who has committed a violent act with or without a gun, you should be able to protect yourself and those around you.

Carry_Okie you have hit the nail on the hid. With this insane PC world we live in, this is not even acknowledged in the MSM or general population. Twitter was active with posts of support and a few links to new information but also a large number of people accusing those like us of being racist and jumping on the “hate Islam” band wagon.
FOX has provided pathetic coverage in my opinion. With all the resources they have at their disposal, it is truly pathetic. (I was up late last night, perusing the internet and found much more information than the re-runs of the same coverage, over and over again on FOX.)
I saw the world in an era when the military let me keep a sidearm 24/7 and gave me creds to carry even on commercial aircraft due my duty requirements. I retired when the clintonistas got elected and left the reserves when they made me a unarmed target.
I live in Texas, travel only to states with CHL reciprocity now.......my carry rig of choice is a modified Glock 21 that has a Guncrafters Industries 50GI slide assembly and modified magazines for their proprietary round. I am the most polite and professional person you will ever meet. But I will not trust my personal safety to anyone else if I can help it.
Insanity is upon us with fabricated hate, fear and political criminal shenanigans of the nth degree .....the rabidity of the masses is a pandemic on liberty IMO.
