Politically-correct double standard may have spawned mass murder at Fort Hood by Muslim soldier
The Washington Examiner ^ | Nov 6, 2009 | Hans Bader
Posted on November 6, 2009 12:25:59 PM PST by walford

A Muslim soldier, Nidal Hasan, shot dead 12 soldiers and a civilian at Fort Hood yesterday, shouting the Muslim expression “Allahu Akbar.” But in an absurd display of political correctness, media reports barely mentioned the religion angle, choosing instead to highlight the fact that the killer was an “army psychiatrist” or the false claim that he was a veteran with PTSD (which he wasn’t: he never even served overseas). Oh, those violent psychiatrists!

Now, we read that he had previously said that Muslims should rise up against the military, “repeatedly expressed sympathy for suicide bombers,” and engaged in hate-speech against non-Muslims, publicly calling for the beheading or burning of non-Muslims, and talking “about how if you’re a nonbeliever the Koran says you should have your head cut off, you should have oil poured down your throat, you should be set on fire.” But nothing was done to remove him from a position where he could harm others...

...in the military, soldiers get punished for bigotry all the time — except for this guy. The courts have held that hate-speech or speech that “discriminatorily harasses” others can generally be criminally punished in the military, unlike in the outside world, and accordingly, white supremacists get disciplined for their views. (So, too, do soldiers who express disloyalty to their country or merely contempt for their Commander in Chief.) But not this soldier, who was more dangerous than your typical white supremacist...

“Friends hail police Sgt. Kimberly Munley for taking down Fort Hood gunman, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan”

SNIPPET: “Police Sgt. Kimberly Munley is credited with ending the Fort Hood mass shooting before even more people were shot.

The hero cop who ended the bloody rampage at Fort Hood by pumping four bullets into the crazed gunman even though she was wounded is known for her toughness, friends say.

Before relocating to Texas, civilian police Sgt. Kimberly Munley spent about five years as a cop in North Carolina where she forged a reputation as a no-nonsense officer.

“I’d like to say I’m surprised, but I’m really not,” said close friend Drew Peterson, 27.

“She was born and bred to be a police officer. If you were ever to be in a fight, she’d be the first person to stand up next to you and back you up. She’s a tough cookie.”

Munley’s toughness and grace under pressure were on display Thursday when she and her partner responded within three minutes of reported gunfire, said Army Lt. Gen. Bob Cone.

Munley, who had been trained in active-response tactics, rushed into the building and confronted the shooter as he was turning a corner, Cone said.

“It was an amazing and an aggressive performance by this police officer,” Cone said.

Munley was only a few feet from Army psychiatrist Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan when she opened fire.

Wounded in the exchange of bullets, the 34-year-old Munley was reported in stable condition at a local hospital.”

I saw the world in an era when the military let me keep a sidearm 24/7 and gave me creds to carry even on commercial aircraft due my duty requirements. I retired when the clintonistas got elected and left the reserves when they made me a unarmed target.

I live in Texas, travel only to states with CHL reciprocity now.......my carry rig of choice is a modified Glock 21 that has a Guncrafters Industries 50GI slide assembly and modified magazines for their proprietary round. I am the most polite and professional person you will ever meet. But I will not trust my personal safety to anyone else if I can help it.

Insanity is upon us with fabricated hate, fear and political criminal shenanigans of the nth degree .....the rabidity of the masses is a pandemic on liberty IMO.

I refuse to be a victim........

Stay safe Ya’ll !

Near the bottom of the article linked above, you understand why it is a “PC” version of what occurred.
“Cone, who received a call from President Barack Obama soon after the shooting, said he was grateful for an outpouring of support. “It is truly overwhelming the offers of support we have had from around the nation,” the general said. “Tomorrow at Fort Hood, we return to normalcy, schools will be open.”

Guess the supposed CIC/Gag agent instructed him not to “jump to any conclusions” or report the truth on a terror act on a US military base. Oh to have heard that phone call.....just say it was a lone, “crazy” physchiatrist.

They are so busy being politically correct they don’t realize how incredibly implausible the story is. (That psychiatrist has received the best training the Army could offer and was surrounded by Doctor’s who understand the mind and military “stress” better than most.)

Just heard on Dennis Prager show that Hasan made a presentation at Walter Reed Hospital on PTSS where he advocated converting to Islam and that those who would not should be beheaded. If you see a link on that would you please ping me? thank you very much

Hey Hassan, I don't believe in your pagan moon-god and I think islam's ideology is a scourge on the Earth.

How connected is he to the obozo regime?

he's a muslim and so is obozo, who said that the United States was one of the largest muslim countries in the world...it's the 'ummah' that connects them.

Other than that, I don't know. I just hope it all comes out when they go through the contents of his computer.

PAJAMAS MEDIA.com - blog: "THE VICTIMS OF FORT HOOD" by Bob Owens (SNIPPET from page 2: "But postings that are thought to be Major Hasan's don't match the portrait of a soldier who was conflicted. They present us with a picture of someone who housed beliefs that established him as a lurking enemy. U.S. Representative Michael McCaul attended a military briefing this morning and found out that Hasan had taken "a lot of extra classes in weapons training, which seems a little odd for a psychiatrist." In retrospect -- and combined with information that Hasan had started yesterday by giving away some of his personal effects, such as furniture -- it appears that his assault at Fort Hood wasn’t the result of a man under extreme pressure suddenly snapping. Instead, it looks like a calculating murderer took the time to prepare for his attack well in advance.") (November 5, 2009)

Good evening, Cindy.

Do you recall a few months ago how everyone became very angry that there was a DHS report about domestic terrorism, and in one part they mentioned something about Iraq War vets; I am wondering if anyone anywhere has brought up that report; although it came out earlier this year, evidentally the report was started during Bush's administration.

Do you by any chance happen to know, if within the pages of that report there was ever any mention of first generation American children of Islamic immigrants being a potential terror threat?

I apologize if I have worded this wrongly, but today I've seen lots of postings about there being LOTS of "dr.hassans" in our military, and suddenly I recalled that report which upset so many - and now I wonder if they were warning of something like the Fort Hood Massacre, but had to be so politically correct, that no one noticed what they were trying to say.

Thanks.

There was a posting this afternoon that on the Hannity radio show, there was mention that the feds had found phone numbers of known terrorists on his computer.

But I wasn't listening to the radio, so I know nothing more.

Fort Hood attack is 3rd this year by antiwar radicals targeting military on U.S. soil
Washington Post ^ | 11/6/2009 | Spencer S. Hsu
Posted on November 6, 2009 5:26:30 PM PST by Saije

The Fort Hood attack is the third instance this year in which American military personnel in the United States have been targeted by people reportedly opposed to U.S. military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, terrorism experts said.

Investigators are seeking to determine the motivations of the Fort Hood suspect, Army Maj. Nidal M. Hasan, in part to understand whether his alleged actions fit in with what experts see as an emerging pattern of plots developed by U.S. citizens or residents rather than foreign attackers.

Federal prosecutors in September charged two North Carolina men for allegedly conspiring to kill personnel at the U.S. Marine Corps base at Quantico, seeking to attack U.S. forces at home if they could not overseas. In June, Abdul Hakim Mujahid Muhammad, an American Muslim convert, allegedly shot and killed one soldier and wounded another at a military recruiting center at Little Rock, Ark., in what he said was retaliation for U.S. counterterrorism policies worldwide.

Also this year, the last of five men was sentenced in April to 33 years in prison for planning to kill soldiers at Fort Dix, N.J., a plot inspired by foreign terrorist groups.

Overall, U.S. authorities have disclosed at least 10 domestic terrorist cases in the last year — the most since 2001 — in what analysts say is a disturbing spike that suggests the likelihood of incidents is growing. The suspects range from unskilled individuals ensnared in FBI stings after trying to obtain guns and explosives to people allegedly trained in Pakistan by al-Qaeda and preparing homemade bombs like those used in terrorist attacks in London and Madrid.

Terrorism analysts say that the would-be assailants in such plots are not foreign infiltrators, such as the Sept. 11, 2001, hijackers, but instead are U.S. citizens...
