They could start today by putting them on Medicare and Medicaid. That would be only fair. Why should they get better care than their slaves.

While I don’t agree with universal healthcare under any circumstance, it seems quite fitting that those that are proposing it should have to take their own bite of the sh*t sandwich they are trying to force down our throats.

Check out what Federalist #57 says about just such a thing. I get chills everytime I read this:

I will add, as a fifth circumstance in the situation of the House of Representatives, restraining them from oppressive measures, that they can make no law which will not have its full operation on themselves and their friends, as well as on the great mass of the society. This has always been deemed one of the strongest bonds by which human policy can connect the rulers and the people together. It creates between them that communion of interests and sympathy of sentiments, of which few governments have furnished examples; but without which every government degenerates into tyranny. If it be asked, what is to restrain the House of Representatives from making legal discriminations in favor of themselves and a particular class of the society? I answer: the genius of the whole system; the nature of just and constitutional laws; and above all, the vigilant and manly spirit which actuates the people of America -- a spirit which nourishes freedom, and in return is nourished by it.

If this spirit shall ever be so far debased as to tolerate a law not obligatory on the legislature, as well as on the people, the people will be prepared to tolerate any thing but liberty.

The thing is, no matter what kind of system is set up in this country, those elitists in Washington will always get the best care, they will never be denied, nor their family members, there will never be rationing of care to MOC's. They should have realized this and done the enormously brilliant PR move of ALL pledging to be insured under whatever government plan is adopted, no waivers or opt-outs, etc. Shortage of physicians? Not at Bethesda. No MRI or x-ray machines available? Ha, not if you've got Rep or Sen before your name. Cancer drugs/chemo in short supply, only so much to go around? Guess who's at the front of that line.

It was stupid beyond belief that these people, supposedly smarter than any of the rest of us, didn't realize this and use it to their advantage, instead of allowing the fair criticism to their suggested legislation.

To members of Congress, President 0b0z0, his thugs and Czars and any union members connected with the government, take a big swig of your new healthcare! Just chew on what floats to the top.

What a$$hole at Fox labeled Rep. Wilson a “gadfly”?

I’d like to be the first to call that stupid son-of-a-biotch a stupid son-of-a-biotch.

I believe that Pelosi, Reid and company are putting themselves into the government plan they want to foist on to this nation.

If the government plan drives the insurance companies out of business, thus leaving only the government plan, then members of Congress and all federal employees will be automatically enrolled into the government plan.

WHY?

The current federal health insurance plan is based upon group purchasing from existing health insurance companies, if those companies go out of business, then the current federal health care goes out of business.

To me this is a classic “Hoist on their on petard” moment, where the Congressional Elite, so long exempting themselves from the laws they pass, are going to, as a consequence of those laws, make them suffer just like they want us citizens to suffer.

This may be a good political angle to play, but just don't get into a corner where at the last moment pelousy changes the bill to accept this plank and then expect/get republican votes.

Thing is, pelousy couldn't care less what many of the details are, as this "thing" is so horrendous and monstrous to our republic, it must be defeated no matter what's in there for "public option", abortion, or forcing lawmakers to be on the same plan.

Joe Wilson Proposes Forcing Congress Onto Government Health Insurance Plan

Okay, I hear what you're saying.

But, let's not give anyone the idea that doing so would make this giant dose of Marxism acceptable.
