Last night a brave and insightful documentary was aired that accurately portrayed the wave of ObamaMania that swept the nation. It was called “V” and aired on ABC to mostly rave reviews and tremendous ratings.
There was another documentary about the Obama campaign on HBO, but that left out a lot of relevant facts, so spaceships and lizard-people aside, ABC wins the veracity award.
The parable is, an attractive group of aliens show up, out of the blue, and offer universal health care, advanced technology and world peace in exchange for our trust and devotion. All we have to do is believe everything they say without question. Which means, don’t ask anything about their hidden motives or past associations because that would be racist impolite. In fact, one reporter who is offered an exclusive interview with their leader is admonished not to say anything negative or they would be denied access (Hi, Fox!).

This is not just a right-wing worldview but the worldview of the paranoid Tea Party movement. I’m really not sure how this made it onto network television. Maybe the calculation is that Glenn Beck will start urging his viewers to watch and a ratings bonanza will ensue. (I don’t expect scientists will be the scapegoats in the new series, as the original “V” alien campaign to tar scientists as a fifth column sits uncomfortably close to the current right-wing view that the world’s leading scientific organizations are conspiring to suppress evidence that global warming is a hoax.)
Naturally, when a show debuts to huge ratings and mostly great reviews, the producer’s career is golden. Not this time.

One thing’s certain, I doubt the “V” would find too many people in this administration very appetizing.

She may be yummy on the eyes, but she is no different than Bambi.... Watching it last night on DVR; I would go back and watch scenes over and over. It is so disturbing watching it and comparing it to DC crowd. Both sides are liars anymore. Liars for power and deception. The Marxists are on a scale much higher than the Rhinos.... Both suck

Heck a lot of time I have a hard time just getting to 'My Account' so I can pay my Comcast Bill.
I do believe next weeks episode will make innuendo about “citizenship” documentation.
I pray it allows some thought about Obamas lack of credentials.
The premier was definitely condensed, the FBI investigator this time will have a lot more resources available to organize a “resistance” movement, would be very interested if there is an aerily similar scene of millions marching on Washington DC to protest the Visitors pogroms.
And I also suspect Glen Beck is going to monopolize on this.
And of course the ultimate moral of the story is this, if its too good to be true it usually isn’t, and beware strangers bearing gifts.And its reality check for Americans, just how much devotion do you live by when offered promises? Has your life been so empty and drab that you MUST become “devoted” followers to any song and act routine that comes along?

That 0bamites see it as a commentary on themselves is very telling.
That’ 0bamites are too blind to see the connection with fascism and their own movement is even more telling.

I love the new “V”, but I think they should have made a mini-series similar to the 1983 version first.
It is worth the time to watch or buy the DVD of the original.

I cant even imagine how aliens could pull off such a thing. They cant pay in dollars. They cant provide doctors.
Gold is the best under Obama. Mybe they have that.
Steps are already being taken to correct this. ABC is in the process of killing the show, although they're calling it a creative "retooling". Even before the pilot aired this week, the network ordered a halt in production after only 4 episodes were done, replaced the creative director with a new guy with orders to "retool" the remaining episodes, and doesn't plan to broadcast the remainder of the episodes until next March "in order to avoid conflict with the Olympics" (yeah, right). There is a FR thread on this - just search "V" and "sci fi", or Google "V TV show retooling".
Make no mistake - the PTBs are going to kill this show. If you want see it you'd best do it now. I'd also bet that it will never be available on DVD, and that it's going to get the same memory-hole treatment that the 1987 TV series "Amerika" which starred Robert Urich and Kris Kristopherson received. That series has never been rebroadcast and is unavailable except in low-quality bootleg formats.
Be warned. There are multiple episodes on the disc. I returned one before I figured that out, so had to go back and “reup” to see the intervening episodes between the first and second disc of a series.
It isn’t Hollywood’s fault that the Obama regime is reptilian.
The Left is very good at purges. And gulags. And thought police.
