Republicans still believe the President is visiting Wisconsin for one reason only.
Republican Party of Wisconsin Chairman Reince Preibus says both President Barack Obama and Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle realize how important it is to help convince the undecided Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett to jump into the state gubernatorial race.
“In my view this is nothing more than an attempt to get Mayor Barrett into this governor’s race while the Democrats in Wisconsin are sucking for air. They’ve just got beat out east, they don’t have a governor candidate in the state of Wisconsin, they don’t have many legislative candidates to speak of, and now Barack Obama comes into town to try to save the day.”
Obama discusses education at Wright Middle School in Madison, and promotes the Race-to-the-Top initiative, but if the goal is to push the former Congressman from Milwaukee into the race, why not just go to Milwaukee? Preibus says Obama is in Madison under the guise of education, saying the race-to-the-top funding is just a cloak behind the attempt to save a sinking ship.
“Quite frankly, Barack Obama isn’t doing so great around the country and if New Jersey is any indication … we’d love to have Barack Obama come to Wisconsin every week because it seems like every time he makes an appearance the folks that he’s trying to help are sinking further and further in the toilet.”
Preibus referring to New Jersey’s election, in which Obama has campaigned heavily for Governor Jon Corzine, but the Democrat was ousted by voters who opted for the GOP candidate. The same is true for Virginia.

We really will be in high clover if Barrett (Milwaukee Mayor) decides not to run for Governor, again. He didn’t make the cut last time around, either.
Milwaukee is a DISASTER! Scott Walker should have a field day pointing out all the inefficiencies in that city’s government, as he has access to all that data as Milwaukee County Exec. :)
I watched a few minutes of this speech and found it lacking in coherency or a shred of logic.
Just babbling on and on. Making no sense.
He looks dreadful, he sounds dreadful too. Maybe he can take his act on the road with Jon Corzine and leave us alone.
Barrett is not dumb enough to run. He knows that with Walker as his opponent, the best he can hope for is to split Milwaukee County, and if a Dem can’t get big margins in Madison and Milwaukee, he can’t win the state.
Barrett must have watched the returns last night and seen Deeds and Corzine get wiped out. After those two debacles, he can see that Obama will be 0 help to him in winning the state. Obama’s coattails from 2008 will be an albatross around the neck of any Dem running in 2010.
Anyone else in your neck of the woods interested in running for Governor on the ‘D’ ticket? There’s no chatter in the Madistan area...at ALL.
Obama screwed up my viewing of Days of Our Lives today. Channel 15.1, used that main channel, as well as their secondary 15.2, to show their dear leader from the time he was still in the air on AF One, to who knows what time...I bet they followed him to the little dictator’s room while he did a big doody.
Won’t even think of turning on the local news for at least a week, until they’ve all composed themselves from the Obama worship.

I nearly called NBC 15 to complain. I was THAT close to dialing! Of course I knew it would have no effect, so I just got back to work instead.
My husband found it amusing that I was missing my soap for Zero. We all know how difficult it is to avoid The One. He’s everywhere like fly crap.
I wonder how many hours of continuous coverage channel 15 gave Zero? I checked in every 15 minutes and they were still at it after an hour. I bet it was at least 2 hours.
My horse vet said he was delayed in getting to my farm because of Zero’s visit too. They had so many Madison roads closed or restricted because of Obummer. Oh he made the days of so many people!
