Scott Rothstein is meeting with federal prosecutors tonight, according to numerous sources, and criminal charges appear imminent in the apparent Ponzi scheme that exceeds $400 million.

$50,000 can buy a lot of bronzer to keep that tan up plus a lot of Judy Garland records.

Judy Garland records?I just spit coffee all over my laptop.LMAOROTFL
Charlie Crist is a RINO or even a DIABLO. He is friends with McCain and Graham-nesty. Crist sucks up to Obama and said he would veto offshore drilling. One of his first acts when elected was to have a global warming conference.
In addition, he was close with a guy who may have stolen $400 million. Crist gives conservative Republicans and the GOP a bad name.

Oh is Crist now a Republican? I thought he was a RINO.
I have no idea from that post if you are a Crist supporter or a Rubio supporter or neither.
But back to the main topic, do you support guilt by association. Looking for a list of republicans that took Madoff money.
WHO KNEW!
Both of them are worthless Rubio is nothing more than a professional politician and Crist is no better. Florida is about to get what they deserve.
Having just come from a fundraiser for Rubio I can state unequivocally that he is not for amnesty. Don’t know where you are getting your “facts” but you might want to review your sources. His stance on illegal immigration is that it is first a national security issue. After the borders have been secured AND the Visa system has been reformed to avoid having people overstay their visas we should address the issue of what to do about the 12-20 million illegals. He believes (rightly) that the public doesn’t trust the government on ths whole issue and will accept dealing with the illegals only after action on the borders and visas. He couldn’t have been more straightforward. True, it’s only words but unless you have specific actions on his part to the contrary, I believe you have wrongly maligned this man.
On other issues he sounds like a freeper — conservative.
Very very few Repubs if any took Madoff money. Maybe one and it was a very small.
“$50,000 can buy a lot of bronzer to keep that tan up plus a lot of Judy Garland records.”
And to think he may have gotten got married ‘cause he thought he had a shot at McCain’s VP slot. Sheesh.
In re-reading my previous post I realized that I didn’t properly portray Rubio’s position of what to do with the illegals after securing the borders and fixing the visa overstay problem. He anecdotally identified Reagan’s amnesty for some 3 million illegals as folly. It was so easy to be “pardoned” that some of those in line for legal citizenship gave up their positions and declared themselves as illegals to get a faster path to citizenship. While he didn’t get into specifics it was clear that any path to citizenship would have serious conditions, take time and would not be guaranteed — all requirements for legal citizenship today.
“and will accept dealing with the illegals only after action on the borders and visas.”
that’s still amnesty only delayed!
Illegals should be deported or starved and denied health care until they self deport!
Same BS, lie we heard from mccain, and his postion on illegals has been posted here many times.
To: Kansas58; PhiKapMom >Having a Conservative to vote for, at the top of the ticket, will HELP get conservatives elected, in all the other Republican Primary races on the ballot. >Last thing we need in DC is Charlie Crist, the ZERO supporter.

Floridians for Immigration Enforcement on Marco Rubio.
Thanks for your inquiry. You are welcomed and encouraged to disseminate this message widely within your Republican Club or wider.
Below is a well-documented trail by 2008 Florida Speaker Marco Rubio to block consideration of all immigration enforcement bills during his tenure.
Floridians for Immigration Enforcement (FLIMEN) attempted to get the Florida Legislature to consider and pass six state-level immigration enforcement bills. Contrary to the arguments of Speaker Rubio and others, immigration enforcement is not the exclusive responsibility of the federal government. About 12 states, excluding Florida, have enacted E-Verify, 287(g) and other enforcement measures. These state-level bills have survived legal challenges and are now working very successfully.
Prior to the Session the FLIMEN Political Committee received an assurance from a Rubio aide that all bills would be allowed to move. That was a lie.
The trail is very clear that Speaker Rubio bottled up the bills to never move toward even a hearing. Speaker Rubio did placate Floridians by allowing a workshop but he never intended the bills to move out of committee. Speaker Rubio used his lieutenants Rivera and Zapata to smear pro-enforcement Floridians with false racial allegations.
Marco Rubio in the opinion of all pro-enforcement immigration activists would be another pro-AMNESTY Senator in the footsteps of the unpopular Rove-Bush-endorsed Senator Mel Martinez. Marco Rubio favors his personal cultural preferences over the rule of law. If he were elected Senator Marco Rubio would no doubt continue to promote open borders, AMNESTY and non-enforcement which are clearly detrimental to Floridians.
The Republican Party is at a transition point. Will the GOP forsake principles to expand into the big burning tent in a manner similar to the McCain loss or will the party stand by principles like equality and the rule of law?
I certainly hope your Republican Club will flatly and honorably refrain from endorsing Marco Rubio for Florida Senator.
Thank you.
Respectfully, Dave Caulkett, VP, FLIMEN

It seems that there are two sides to this story. Please take a look at the linked video. Starting at 13 minutes and running to the end there is considerable discussion of immigration as well as the FLIMEN bills. Most telling is Rubios statement that the same bills are trying again and won’t pass this time either (in either house). He, of course, is no longer in state government. So what did he do this year? Place a curse on the legislation with his decoder ring? His contention is a very short legislative calendar (60 days) and the inability of the proponents to consolidate the six bills into one for efficiency in a crowded calendar will likely doom them to the dustbin until their supporters use their heads. Neither of us were there for this whole legislative flap, but I think the accusation that Rubio caused the bills’ demise is less likely than the logistics of dealing with six bills instead of one. Finally, read FLIMEN’s accusations carefully. Nowhere do they identify real actions by Rubio that caused their legislation to fail. They imply a vast conspiracy but have no real evidence.
