Voting machine malfunctions may delay election results from four towns in New York's 23rd district, reports the Johnson News Service.
The breakdowns, in Louisville, Waddington, Rossie and Clare, happened earlier today on new voting machines, according to the St. Lawrence County Board of Elections deputy commissioner.
And in Fulton County, results won't be posted online and likely won't be available to the media until tomorrow.
The polls in NY-23 closed at 9 p.m. ET.

And in Fulton County, results won't be posted online and likely won't be available to the media until tomorrow. But I'm sure they will be available to ACORN so they know just how many votes they need to manufacture.
Don't the people pulling this sh*t see how transparent it really is?
Once the conservatives, who pay the bulk of the taxes and shoulder the bulk of the heavy lifting for the nanny state realize there is no hope for a legitimate election, do the liberals think we will just willingly roll over and be their slaves?

The last posted numbers were not good, with Hoffman behind by about 10%.Dude, sometimes the Democrat precincts come in before the Republican precincts -- chill.
Also, this is the first election in New York where the new paper ballot/optical scanner system has been used. I'm not denying the chance of fraud, but it's not unusual that a new system would have glitches.

I called this earlier today. There is no way the Dems are going to let any candidate Sarah Palin endorses win. They will pull out all stops to defeat *her*. And when they manage to steal the election, they will say its an affirmation that she is toxic, as will Newt and any other hack.
Watch for it. It is coming.

1) have observers
2) with cameras
3) backed by muscle
moreover...
4) Whoever makes these machines needs to open their code, process, schematics. They need to run, period. No excuses.
5) Every voter gets a an ANONYMIZED reciept, AND a paper trail is made with each vote.

Lawyers for the RNC will work tirelessly to make sure that Owens wins.
I really believe that. The RNC hates Sarah Palin.

Hoffman should be running about even at the worst. This looks like fraud.

No electronic voting machines is totally safe and even the best can be hacked but these machined are a lot better than the Smartmatic units used in many places on the States. The Smartmatic units with touch screens are NOT safe and have been involved in many fraud cases. BTW, Hugo Chavez and the Venezuelan Government uses Smartmatic!

I wonder if this has anything to do with Hugo’s voting machines, that normally take 2% from “R”, and add 1% to “D”, and 1% to “I”, being confused by the “C”?
I guess the reprogramming can take awhile when they don’t actually want the “3rd” party to win.

Obviously the machines were stuffed with acorns or hanging chads.

Alaska has been using the paper ballot/optical scanner for more than a decade. Two machines to a polling - and THE VOTER places the ballot into the machine.
Even places like Point Hope (look it up, it defines remote) can get their paper ballots counted and in to the State within an hours after the polls close, as do most places... I have to wonder why it takes so long in an urbanized area on the East Coast.
Then again, maybe they just haven't found a good way to stuff an electronic ballot box and they need to do it the old fashioned way with absentee ballots.....

Karl Rove saying just now on FNC that there are some towns that won’t even report their votes until morning.
I’m hoping that the heavy dem areas are the ones that have been counted so far.

Ive been voting for a few decades now. Never heard of machine breakdowns, counting chads, etc. until the FL debacle. Now it seems to be happening frequently. What gives? We had great voting machines in NY State. The big clunky kind with the curtain and lever. Fool proof. We didn't mess around with cards or electonics.
Then Gore lost in FL and the idiots in DC made a big deal about needing to upgrade the voting process nationwide. Lots of the NYS districts now use the crummy card scanners and the workers don't even know how to make them work properly.
