Marine Leads 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' Fight

Marine Corps Commandant Gen. James T. Conway has emerged in internal Pentagon deliberations as the most outspoken opponent of permitting gay men and women to serve openly in the U.S. military, according to a former senior Pentagon official.

Most of the senior brass hold deep reservations about President Obama's pledge to end the ban on gays in the military, especially in the middle of two wars that have put extra stress on the military, down to the platoon level, where soldiers and Marines would be expected to bond with openly gay colleagues.

But Gen. Conway has gone further than others in stating his opposition to a change in policy, according to the former official, who has been privy to private conversations on the matter. "He feels very strongly that [removing the ban] would be disruptive, and he opposes it," said the former official.

God bless him. This is a "fall on your sword" issue that the service Chiefs and Senior Enlisted Men need to fight to the finish. Resist the challenge from the anti military Obamaites and stand tall doing it. The American people are with you.

This is how the 5th Column wins. It wasn’t long ago Sodomites were banned outright. Now we’re arguing in favor of a policy Clinton enacted.

This is going to be interesting to watch. Former Marine Corps Commandant, now National Security Adviser, Jim Jones is all on board for repealing don't ask don't tell (drank the Obama Kool Aid).

Current Commandant, who has respect of all Marines is saying this is stupid. Trust me, this is not the first finger in the eye of General Jones from General Conway and will not be the last.

Thank former Marine Judge David O. Carter for helping Obam and his bosses the Saudis destroy America.

The one who was lusting after the boys when they were laying in bed next to each other, destroying morale, and may have occasioned the deaths of all three.

Would they have a choice? When ordered into combat you go into combat. Right?

“Marines of Conscience or Homosexual Marines”

http://www.thebutter-cutter.com/Marines_of_Conscience_or_Ho.php

“...First of all, it is Pub.L. 103-160 (10 U.S.C. § 654) that precludes homosexuals from serving openly in the Marine Corps as well as the other Services. The, so called, policy of “Don’t ask. Don’t tell” is an Executive Order signed by President Clinton in 1993 to stop the Marine Corps from asking people at the time of enlistment if they were homosexual. In so doing, homosexuals are able to enter the Marine Corps, receive expensive training—such as Arabic language training—and, then, declare their homosexuality and leave the Corps without punishment for falsifying their enlistment as was previously the case. This policy also serves as a way for heterosexual Marines to exit the Corps early by declaring that they are homosexuals. Should Mr. Obama keep his campaign promise to homosexuals and eliminate the policy of “Don’t ask. Don’t tell,” he would plug up this loophole of “easy out.” The larger threat to Marines of conscience is Pub.L. 103-160 (10 U.S.C. § 654) and there is a current effort to have that law repealed by the U.S. Congress...”

“...Service in the U. S. Marine Corps requires the loss of many liberties that civilians enjoy; especially, the right of association. Individual Marines cannot choose who their leaders will be or with whom they will work and live. It is beyond governmental authority to force these Americans into situations that compromise their morals. The Selective Training & Service Act of 1940 permits the granting of Conscientious Objector status to “One who by reason of religious training and belief is conscientiously opposed to participation in war.” Little known is: People v. Stewart, 7 Cal. 143, “Conscientious Scruple. A conscientious scruple against . . . doing military duty, or the like is an objection or repugnance growing out of the fact that the person believes the thing demanded of him is morally wrong, his conscience being the sole guide to his decision . . . ” (Black’s Law Dictionary). This “Conscientious Scruple” provision appears to give Marines of conscience a legal remedy for a morally compromising situation of serving under or with Marine homosexuals. Moreover, since there are evidently more persons of conscience in our society than homosexuals, the pool of potential recruits for the current all-volunteer Marine Corps will be reduced.”

Friendly Fire could be a problem. Maybe they will purposefully fail the range evaluation,
after all, someone needs to clean the latrines and stock the toilet paper.

You couldn't imagine how far they will take this issue, for example if there's
a Republican in the WH they will accuse him/her of killing gays and try for
impeachment on grounds of a hate crime. Crazy? Not these days.

This is the same selfish, ambitious, careerist hack that allowed his men to be prosecuted for killing the enemy. He was playing to the liberal audience then, he is now. Never in its history has the Corps had such uninspired, cowardly leadership. What the “leaders” have done to Col. Chessani is a scandal. And not ONE general officer had the courage to speak out when the corrupt, swollen, phony Rep. Murtha publicly condemned brave Marines for war crimes they did not commit. These people have destroyed the Corps for a generation. Perhaps forever.

One of those fifth columnists is trying to takeover the Republican party and in fact may get one of his handpicked people into the California Governor's house.

"One issue I want to clarify concerns President Clinton’s “don’t ask, don’t tell, don’t pursue” military policy. I believe that the Clinton compromise was a step in the right direction. I am also convinced that it is the first of a number of steps that will ultimately lead to gays and lesbians being able to serve openly and honestly in our nation’s military. That goal will only be reached when preventing discrimination against gays and lesbians is a mainstream concern, which is a goal we share."

Sincerely, W. Mitt Romney

I believe it's not about combat, it's about perverting the Military and
bringing moral down just out of antiwar spite.

See, if a gay can state he's gay up front in boot camp the drill Sergeant
cannot properly train the faggot out of fear of being arrested for a hate crime.
It just cannot work. Fags should be booted out of all our military with
a dishonorable discharge. No exceptions!
