Palin's Latest Facebook Note
As the vice president knows, I have always advocated an all-of-the-above approach to American energy independence. Among other things, my alternative energy goal for Alaska sits at 50 percent because Alaska reached more than 20 percent during my term in office. The Obama-Biden administration, on the other hand, recently announced a renewable goal of only 25 percent. However, domestic drilling should remain a top priority in order to meet Americas consumption and security needs.
The vice presidents extreme opposition to domestic energy development goes all the way back to 1973 when he opposed the Alaska pipeline bill. As Ann Coulter pointed out, Biden cast one of only five votes against the pipeline that has produced more than 15 billion barrels of oil, supplied nearly 20 percent of this nations oil, created tens of thousands of jobs, added hundreds of billions of dollars to the U.S. economy and reduced money transfers to the nations enemies by about the same amount.
This nonsensical opposition to American domestic energy development continues to this day. Apparently the Obama-Biden administration only approves of offshore drilling in Brazil, where it will provide security and jobs for Brazilians. This election is about American security and American jobs.
Theres one way to tell Vice President Biden that were tired of folks in Washington distorting our message and hampering our nations progress: Hoffman, Baby, Hoffman!
- Sarah Palin
You have my sympathy. Not a fun place, academia nowadays, for a conservative.
Unfortunately, you haven't been paying much attention to what Sarah has said about energy independence.
Fortunately, the rest of us have.
You know, I’m an engineer by degree. I’m all into tech stuff, but there’s just so much my brain won’t wrap around. I now understand why. I’m 50, and just can’t compete like I could 20 years ago. It’s not a bad thing, (being 50 and all that) I love the laid back lifestyle, and perhaps that’s what’s wrong, too many, too much, too fast. It’s hard to process everything. Every 18 months, you “NEED” a new phone, upgrade to your computer, TV, radios, cars, EVERYTHING. I’m kind of in the reject tech mode. First it was My Space, then Facebook, now twitter, podcasting, Ipods, MP3 players, etc. It’s just too much. So, I’ll rely on all you to post what’s said. Heck, the first time I turned on a computer was a Fortran programing course!
Can you do that for Newt?
“Brain Dead” - Leahy
“Plain Dead” - Teddy
“No Brain In My Head” - Plugs
LMAO! Can’t wait to give this a bit to surface at DU, and watch the fireworks.
I found it -
“A People’s History of the United States” by Howard Zinn.
America bashing from start to finish, the #1 “accepted” textbook for American college history professors.
Most Pearson/Prentice Hall published books are liberal/marxist to the core. It makes you ill to read them.
Uh - she’s for drilling. It’s not that complicated.
I feel for you.
10-4!
love the ‘toon.
I'm not all that impressed by this ... it certainly doesn't "beat Biden to a pulp." More importantly, though, it doesn't tell me that she's remotely ready for higher office.
As you well know, Sarah Palin has an image problem with the general public. The only way she's going to get out from under it, is to demonstrate that she's a serious person, with serious policies that deserve serious debate.
As political screeds go, this one is actually pretty weak --it's little more than a non-zinger that's basically a rehash of what she said back in 2008. She offers no specific details beyond what she cribbed from an Ann Coulter column.
Not remotely "presidential."
Have those adult students found a BETTER COUNTRY???? That’s how I always respond.
Well, no ... that's not at all what she said. Read the first paragraph again. She's "always advocated an all-of-the-above approach to American energy independence." One might think that she would elaborate on this ... but instead she goes for the cheap shot.
That you should think this is a posting about "drilling" is just proof of my point.
She hasn't bothered to actually tell you anything about her energy policies -- you're left to guess and hope. That's what Obama got away with, but the media liked him. They won't give Sarah Palin the same break.
Sarah Palin needs to start getting serious if wants to be taken seriously by more than the choir.
In the “age of obama”,
what is “presidential”?
Are you saying people won’t elect a “non-presidential” person?
