Rush Limbaugh calls President Obama's Dover salute a 'photo-op
New York Daily News ^ | 11/01/2009 | Kenneth R. Bazinet

Talk radio bomb thrower Rush Limbaugh ripped President Obama Sunday for his ego, health care reform effort - and a "photo-op" with the casket of a U.S. soldier killed in Afghanistan.

"It was a photo-op precisely because he's having big-time trouble on this whole Afghanistan dithering situation," Limbaugh told "Fox News Sunday."

"He can create the impression that he has all this great concern," Limbaugh charged.

Obama said his overnight trip to view the returning flag-draped caskets of 18 Americans killed in Afghanistan at Dover Air Force Base Thursday will "bear on how I see" the war. He is expected to unveil a new strategy that could send up to 40,000 more troops into the warzone.

Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.), who has clashed with Obama on domestic and homeland security issues, rushed to defend the President's action.

"I think he was there as commander-in-chief for all Americans. And I don't fault him or question his motives at all," Lieberman said on CBS' "Face the Nation." "I was proud that my President was there."

In his multi-pronged attack, Limbaugh also said the health care reform effort is a government power grab driven by a "very narcissistic" President who has "an out-of-this-world ego."

Also people forget that Obama voted against funding the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan prior to his election, and after saying he would never vote against funding the troops. Obama voted against funding even bullets, food, medicine or anything. Hillary did the same.

Funny, isn’t it? He’s really **trying to salute**..! hahahahah...!

I found this photo over at Blackfive, where they’re all going nuts because of Obama’s appearance at Dover.

THERE, he was pretty snappy, eh? For the cameras?
Cuz it COUNTED..!!

And the guys presented this as representing his typical style.

Nah...just a sloppy salute. His fingers aren’t together. Magnifying the image clearly shows the line of the cheek hasn’t be altered. The end of the thumb is somewhere under his right ear.

He also looks like he’s stoned, like one of those drunks that pops up from the gutter thinking there’s a parade

I’ll go so far as to say that I think the more body bags come back from the Middle East, the better “The One” likes it. And that it correlates with his dithering on Afghanistan.

I think his plan is to dither and hedge and hem-haw and screw around, meanwhile letting the body bags pile up, until the MainSlime Media takes their cue from him and starts the same kind of screaming anti-war stuff they did toward the end of the Viet Nam surrender and pullout. I actually think his visit to Dover was part of that plan; intended to DRAW ATTENTION to the returning coffins.

Once the media-induced hue and cry to end the war gets great enough, Obama can throw in the towel in the Middle East, and surrender and pull out; and he can say he is only doing the bidding of a majority of Americans, whether it’s actually true or not. Since when was this man ever concerned about being truthful?!

Of course this was a photo op. Rush was only stating the obvious. If Bush had done this, in the middle of the night, the press would be screaming this and lambasting losses all over headlines.

However, I think we’re missing the most hardest hitting item to come out of this story: 17 or 18 families refused Obama. Now that’s the real story.

It was a photo slop.
This pig couldn’t be bothered to to learn a decent salute as of a week ago.
He could have gone to Dover the minute he was sworn in.
He was clearly rehearsed , I’m sure some Hollywood pals helped stage his part.
Watching the video of this cretin hustling up the cargo ramp, lest he miss the casket action was repulsive.
And who needs to see caskets to be “ reminded “ of what is happening in Afghanistan and Iraq ?
Barry was so moved by what he witnessed at Dover that he threw a Halloween extravaganza 72 hours later.

There was a great video that showed the STARK difference between how the troops felt about the two presidents and how the presidents felt about the troops - but surprise, surprise - the scrub police seem to’ve been around.

Are there any photo ops of him visiting wounded vets since he became president?

I think you’re right. This was Rush baiting the Hole-e of Hole-ees. If Zero’s teleprompter or mouthpiece comments about Bush never doing this, things might become embarrassing for the Hole-e one. I understand W did a lot of private visiting with families and with the injured. I have no doubt that a new website might launch where those same families or survivors could upload their private photos with the former President. The number of such once private visits might might surprise the mediots. And being a website, it would be news the democrat press could not ignore, but they would try to nonetheless.

He’s going to use this as an excuse to wind down the war in Afganistan like the libs wound down the war in Vietnam. And his salute is still wrong.

Obama has a heart??? We learned of his true heart when he voted to not give aid to a baby that survived an abortion!!!

People that support abortion in any way shape or form, have no heart! Just to be fair
