In response to the NY-23 news, Rush Limbaugh tells me:
Hmmm... I thought the Era of Reagan was over? Who was it that said that? Oh yeah, the smart people on our side who told us the only way we could win was with moderate/liberal candidates like Scozzafava. Hmmm...

I do believe that Charles has even bigger ears than Obama. Perhaps there is some sort of family connection, since Obama was born a British citizen?

A very loud and substantive warning shot has been fired over the barnacle-encrusted hull of the S.S. RNC. Loyal crewmen once casually tossed overboard in exchange for safe passage through the Straits of Liberalia are now returning in great numbers, this time as pirate-liberators.
The ship's officers cannot trust their remaining crew, for the latter know they are both overwhelmed and under the command of untrustworthy and treacherous captains. Time to raise high the old flag, boys, turn the wheel back to starboard and set sail for blue water.

Newt endorses Hoffman now... lolVery telling I'd say. Looks to me like the Newt chooses party over principle.
No wonder the GOP has gone "democRat lite."

Chris Wallace was on with the Friends yesterday reporting live from West Palm Beach where he was eagerly waiting to go to Rush’s estate for the interview...he was really excited, too.

News like this is the only thing that keeps me in the GOP. I don't want to quit, I want to take it back.
You gotta drill it into peoples heads that the Primaries are where we get things done.

Newt has been pulling the rug out from under conservatives for years and years. Newt is a self promoter, don't blame the Talk show hosts for airing him and standing by him when he advanced the conservative cause and calling him out when he went off to the dark side.
To paraphrase you: Its not productive to be gloating and throwing pies in the faces of the true conservative voices that the MSM and White House and Congress are trying to silence.
As to Newt: The fact that Newt can so easily articulate both sides of virtually any issue tells me he doesn't really stand for anything. The casting couch with Pelosi was the last draw for me. I have lost count of how many PACs he has a vested interest in. I am sure draws a salary from most of them. His business is his name. More power to him in that regard, particularly if it results in funding the conservative cause, but to me he seems more political opportunist than a conservative leader.

Mikey can't lead from behind. He needs to get off the mark and drop RINOs fast, and embrace the fact that the populace is (and has always been) right of center, identifying with conservatism more than moderate-ism or liberalism.
Conservatism needs to remain in the tent of the Republican Party, but the tent should not have much space reserved for RINOs - and campaign donation ($upport) needs to be diminished to those not toeing the line for minimal government, minimal taxes, national security, constitutional fundamentalism, and protection of personal liberties. NO THRID PARTY!

Its not productive to be gloating and throwing pies in the faces of people we previously promoted. Rush has been on the outs with Gingrich for almost two years, starting here: The Era of Reagan Is Not Over
People change -- Newt was on the the right track once. He went off the rails. Rush called him out.
