Thanks for posting. Perhaps this info on “net neutrality” needs a thread of it’s own.

I always love the left’s euphemisms - a woman’s “freedom to choose” or “pro-choice” describing abortion, the “Center for American Progress”, Soros’ little spawn, which is anything but progress, etc. It’s all made to sound like continuous sunshine, flowers and puppies by the left.

Yes those were great, I saw the pictures.

And the Collins will still be a nice rig. A bit more bare bones than the Yaesu you had but the brand name and the condition make that an especially nice collector's piece. The KWM2A was popular going to military and diplomatic units because it was a rugged, stable, and easy to operate radio, and it had the pull out band tray so crystals could be easily added/changed to operate on any HF frequency. Does that radio have the full set of band crystals like the Yaesu did?

Yes I have two sets of the crystals. Both have the same crystals missing from the pockets. Must have shipped that way from Collins.

Yeah - on the East coast you can get news from a lot of European sources and they generally cover issues in more depth than American drive-by. On the West coast we get Radio Moscow from Vladivostok and they are likewise a decent news source.

I don't listen to them as much as I probably should.

There should be 8 or so pairs of crystals already installed in the tray depending on the number of positions in the band switch. If it’s set up for the Ham bands of the day they would have been:

3.5-4.0
7.0-7.5
14.0-14.5
21.0-21.5
28.0-28.5
28.5-29-0
29.0-29.5
29.5-30.0

Possibly others, I don't know for sure the ITU region for SE Asia used all of those bands back then but I believe they did. Might also have had something in 26 or 27 MHz installed, they just sort of fell into place some times.

Oh Yea !!! we freeped back and forth about it late last year or early this year..don’t exactly remember when since this “whirlwind” started about a year ago.

Ya got me drooling again. But forget what I said about the crystals. I was thinking 500 KHz wide band segments and there I see 200 KHz segments and 14 positions.

So, nevermind I's all wet.

What I have are two of the CP-2 Crystal Pack. There are no crystals installed.
