MILWAUKEE The world's largest retailer wants to keep its customers even after they die.
Wal-Mart has started selling caskets on its Web site at prices that undercut many funeral homes, long the major seller of caskets.
The move follows a similar one by discount rival Costco, which also sells caskets on its site.
Wal-Mart, based in Bentonville, Ark., quietly put up about 15 caskets and dozens of urns on its Web site last week. Prices range from $999 for models like "Dad Remembered" and "Mom Remembered" steel caskets to the mid-level $1,699 "Executive Privilege." All are less than $2,000, except for the Sienna Bronze Casket, which sells for $3,199.

LOL!
Quequeg had one.
Intriguing. Where are the urns? Under “For The Home”?
Now why would I want an urn or casket with one of those smiley faces on it?
i CAN’T WAIT ‘TIL IKEA PRESENTS THEIR MODELS.
Now if they would just come out with that $99 embalming kit...
“Due to the personal nature of this product we do not accept returns.”
“Quequeg had one.”

I was thinking more likw aarp maybe...
Guaranteed for life. Payments are covered by Medicare and most local death panels in lieu of restorative surgery. Volume discounts available. (Made in China from recycled lead batteries, produced with child labor, supporting rural dumpster communities.).
I see most of the caskets are 230 pounds in weight, all shipped via Fedex, and start in price at $895 and go up from there.
OMG, just like obummer, wants to take you from cradle (baby formula / diapers) to grave
Sounds like a good idea to me. Mortuary services are WAY overpriced; the funeral directors know you’ll pay anything in your grief.
Funerary services, furniture, and eyeglasses are the three most marked-up goods and services in the USA.
Tell me why your average sofa is $1000 or plain glasses are $100 - I’ll tell you why: people will pay it.
Buy it now, rent a storage unit. Order today, and it will be delivered between Oct. 30 and Nov. 2. There are a lot of models, including Pieta and Last Supper, Lovely In All Ways, Executive Privilege, and the Regal Wide Body models.

Don’t forget....Sgt Grit also has caskets in their catalog...

And remember the most important thing is shop safety and, “these,” safety glasses.
Are they at the “Out Door Living” link?
Now I am happy about this!! The cheapest urn I could find was $400 online.
do they have a model where you can adjust the sleep number?
Garage sales are great for this stuff. There are a lot of Metal decorative tins with lids for 50 cents.
