A New GOP

A New GOP

Patrick J. Buchanan 10/27/2009

"Sometimes party loyalty asks too much," said JFK.

For Sarah Palin, party loyalty in New York's 23rd congressional district asks too much. Going rogue, Palin endorsed Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman over Republican Dede Scozzafava.

On Oct. 1, Scozzafava was leading. Today, she trails Democrat Bill Owens and is only a few points ahead of Hoffman, as Empire State conservatives defect to vote their principles, not their party.

Newt Gingrich stayed on the reservation, endorsing Scozzafava, who is pro-choice and pro-gay rights, and hauls water for the unions.

Scourged by the right, Newt accused conservatives of going over the hill in the battle to save the republic, just to get a buzz on. "If we are in the business about feeling good about ourselves while our country gets crushed, then I probably made the wrong decision." How Scozzafava would prevent America's being "crushed" was unexplained.

I have believed for a long time that the Republican party needs to cleanse itself of the RINOs at all costs. Sarah is leading the way. God bless her soul.

Sarah vs. the Good Old Boy (Newt) again. Guess who wins this time.

“and is only a few points ahead of Hoffman,”

The last poll I saw had Hoffman ahead of both the liberal candidates.

It could also be titled “Conservatives are not afraid to leave the plantation”.

The deep fear of Gingrich is that the conservatives are throwing out the baby with the bathwater. Since the overall goal is to annihilate the democrat party it is imperative that democrat candidates have no access to the levers of power. It is imperative that no democrat candidates are elected to office.

Newt's fear is that purists will abandon the goal of eliminating the democrats in favor of pursuing his idea of an unrealizable goal (electing only conservatives) thereby opening the door to increased progressive power over us all.

Other than that, Mr. Newt needs to get out of dodge since he is the most untrustworthy national republican figure to grace the stage since Richard Nixon.

In 1992, Ross Perot ran for President, took votes from Bush 41 and we ended up with sleazebag Bill Clinton.

All this third party baloney is being put out by George Soros, MoveOn.org, Code Pink, DailyKos, DUmmies and the other commie front groups in order to split Conservatives in the 2010 Congressional elections and will be used to split the vote in the 2012 Presidential election.

3rd Party = Voting For Obama, Democrats and Communism

I used to agree with you. But I no longer do. That kind of thinking rewards RINOs. We need all the moderate half-socialist RINO republicans to be starved out. If that means the Democrats win until the Republicans get the message, so be it. I voted for my last RINO when I voted for McCain.
