President Barack Obama named University of Oklahoma president David Boren co-chairman of his Intelligence Advisory Board today.
But at the tail end of his speech announcing the decision, Obama had this to say:
I thank David for agreeing to serve in this capacity, even as he continues to lead the University of Oklahoma.
Obama added: And we are sorry about (Sam) Bradfords shoulder.

And “we” are sorry about his shoulder.

David Boren is the father of Rep. Dan Boren, the only Democratic member of Oklahoma’s Congressional Delegation.
Dan Boren is a member of the Blue Dog Coalition, but Pelosi and Obama have successfully twisted his arm to vote with the libs more than once. My guess is that this appointment of David Boren is Obama’s way of ensuring that Rep. Dan Boren continues to vote with the libs.

Sam Bradford is a conservative and Christian so is this sarcasm?

Don’t be too sorry. Sam’s dad is a insurance agent. My guess is that he will be well taken care of financeally very well.

Sorry to say I’ve searched for signs of intelligence in the Senate and the White House and have found none.

Doubtful. I think it's more of an attempt at a lame joke to make this guy appear relevant.
The REAL question he should be asking is something more along the lines of "Why did Bradford even bother to come back to school this year?"....

Hmmmm.....What did Boren do after that nutcase with a backpack blew himself up outside the football stadium, during a major Sooners game a few years back?
And does he have any 'intelligence' on why Zacarias Moussaui (while attending flight school in Norman) had the password to Nick Berg's laptop?

Let’s forget the “Sam Bradford” approach here. It’s obvious that Obama is trying to score points in the reddest of the red states.
Former US Senator David Boren has been “out of the loop” since 1994. Once again BO’s allies are fishing for friends in FantasyLand....

I doubt this yet again when you see the Obama with the Heisman picture in Mack Brown's office.

So? That's what every politician on the planet has done since day one.

You have that right — Gresham and Bradford both very high draft picks should have just gone last year.

Pres Boren held essentially the same position under Bush #43. Dan Boren didn’t even endorse Obama.

And while I've always been a proponent of Quarterbacks staying as long as they could, he was ready last year.
Running backs, on the other hand, need to leave the moment their bodies are capable of absorbing the punishment. They only have so many carries that they can absorb such a beating week in and week out.
