THE hard-fought battle be tween the left, the near-left and the right being waged in New York's 23rd Congressional District has attracted national attention because of its serious implications for scores of congressional races across the country next year.
The stakes for national Democrats and Republicans are enormous. The three-way North Country contest is a referendum on President Obama's policies and on the GOP's willingness to back RINO (Republican In Name Only) candidates in traditionally moderate-to-conservative districts.

As a campaign volunteer working for Doug Hoffman in Madison County, I can tell you the anger towards the Republican Party leaders is abundant.
If you value the conservative principles of less deficit, less big government, please go to the polls Tuesday and vote for Hoffman. We will need every vote we can get.
Micheal Steele was in a setting where he felt at home today, on MSNBC’s Morning Joe without Joe. Steele and all the libs were very comfortable.
Steele reiterated his strong backing for Scuzzyphobia.
We here in California are watching this race closely because we have been down the path of moderation and loss for many years, and it is high time something changes. So my prayers are with Doug Hoffman and his supporters. If you guys pull this off, it will be a clarion call to all conservatives across America that says “Yes We Can”, when we want to put a conservative in power we can do it.
Go Hoffman, Go!

Joe Scarborough is not a Republican or a conservative. So not sure why it would matter if he was on the show today or not. Sure he pretends to be a conservative, and has a few phony lines that he uses that might fool some. He is a liberal Democrat

I’m glad to hear from someone on the ground up there. I think that this is a tremendously important race for the GOP. We’re fighting for the heart and soul of this party, not just this seat. This morning I heard Newt on Bill Bennet’s show...he’s still claiming the moral high ground because he’s with the people of the district in this race! LOL! Newt’s lost his way...big time.

Joe is the embodiment of Steven Colbert. Joe does conservatism as schtick. But, Joe would challenge Steele on things, which would make Steele uncomfortable.
However, we all know Joe’s agenda, #1 - make money for Joe, #2 - please his liberal masters, which facilitates #1.
I like what Mark Steyn called her “ Diablo “ democrat in all but label only. We’ve got way too many of them here in Calif.
