The media’s been pointing to the balloon boy story as the ne plus ultra of celebrity-seeking scumbaggery, but there’s an even better example around, isn’t there?

Honestly, at this point, the most rational interpretation of his behavior is that he’s trying to get people to hate him.

At the Republican convention, this kid was considered a "hottie" by Freeperettes, an all-around American guy who was taking his responsiblity as a father seriously. Now he is scum. What does that say about him? about us?

At that time he hadn't done any of the disgusting bashing and lying against Palin. Why should we have hated him back then? We cut him some slack... and at that time it was okay, though some more sensible Freepers recognized that this guy was up to no good.
