RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Convicted sniper John Allen Muhammad will die by lethal injection when he is executed next month, Virginia officials said Tuesday.
Muhammad declined to choose between lethal injection and electrocution, so under state law the method defaults to lethal injection, Virginia Department of Corrections spokesman Larry Traylor said.
Muhammad is scheduled to be executed Nov. 10 for the October 2002 slaying of Dean Harold Meyers at a Manassas gas station during a string of shootings.

Ha, I was thinking the same thing. Set him free, knowing there are snipers out there, and just let him play rabbit for a while. Like those innocent people that were targeted.
Virginia is not California.
“Only 6 years on death row? I would have thought it would be another 10 or 15 years before hed run out of appeals.”
Something stinks here. Reminds me of Timothy McVeigh and how they wanted to expedite his execution, before other facts or witnesses emerged.
There is more to this story, IMHO.
I can just imagine him sitting there in his prison cell, wondering aloud "Lethal injection, or electrocution... Electrocution, or lethal injection?"
Regards,
No government power to kil? That’s the same tired argument that the Chicago Libune and all the other death penalty abolitionists use. It would allow monsters like Muhammad to live out their days paid for by our tax dollars. Until people stop breaking the first commandment, the government and a jury of your peers needs to reserve the right to carry out appropriate and fitting punishment. I can’t think of anything more fitting for Muhammad.
I love the smell of lethal injection in the morning it smells like victory
Crucifixion? Good. Out of the door. Line on the left. One cross each. Next.
In Florida we still have guys who commited murders in the late 1970s and early 1980s still on death row................................... I guess they can’t find a good electrician to fix “ole sparky”. God forbid it should start a killers hair on fire, that would be worse than death.
In a perfect world there would be no need for government power to kill.
This world, obviously, is not perfect.
Brings a tear to my eye that it’s not an electrocution.
I remember when Ted Bundy fried, it was in the middle of class and at the precise moment of the execution, some smart-aleck in the class flicked the lights on and off....everyone just cracked up.
I prefer the Russian technique. You just never know when a guard walking you down the hallway is going to put one in the back of the head.
And then bill the family for the bullett.
I am surprised he hasn’t won the Nobel Peace prize.
ba-bye
Kill him with an AR15.
very well done!!!
Was it Clarence Darrow who said, "I never killed a man and never really wanted to, but I've savored a good many obituaries."? I, personally, will delight in his death and only wish it could have come sooner, and been more painful.
I have no qualms about hanging as a method of execution, preferably with a short drop and long, slow death by asphyxiation.
You got to see the youtube video of George Carlin wondering why, prior to the insertion of lethal injection needles, the skin is swabbed with alchohol to prvent infection.
