A blue, cross-like design emblazoned on T-shirts at Penn State University has some critics seeing red.
The shirts intended to foster school spirit sport a vertical blue line down the center with the words "Penn State White Out" emblazoned across the chest, forming a design that some say resembles a cross. The back of the shirt depicts the same blue line obscured by the words, "Don't be intimated It's just me and 110,000 of my friends." Roughly 30,000 of the shirts have been sold.
Penn State says it has received six complaints about the shirt, including one from the Anti-Defamation League's Philadelphia branch, from people who say it connotes a Christian cross. The logo design also has become the focus of controversy in the student newspaper, "The Daily Collegian," which has received several letters to the editor on both sides of the issue.
Michal Berns, a junior majoring in media law and policy, said she refused to buy the $15 shirt because of its religious connotations.
"At first glance, you don't necessarily think that's what it looks like, but when you look at it more, it does look like a cross," Berns told Foxnews.com. "That's the reason I didn't purchase it."...

Well Michal, If you take a second look in the mirror you might be able to see something that resembles an ASS. That doesn’t mean that you see one.
Zero is about as popular as AIDS in Israel.
BTW, I was driving around and I came to an intersection and they had a sign that had a symbol on it like this: +
I demand they change that cross to something else. Maybe an islamic crescent.
It vaguely resembles two criss crossing lines. Some faux controversy about nothing but intolerance for Christianity.
Meanwhile when it comes to Islam, K-12 schools in Caliphateornia...

I’m not a Penn State fan and I knew instantly what the stripe was. Of course I’m not trying to be offended every time I turn around.
The gold domers aren’t religious anymore, little sheeple
I took a look at the website. The Conference took place on April Fools Day. Apparently there were no reportable results from the meeting. But she must be an "A" student if she got herself listed to represent Penn State.
Looking at the names of the participants, there will be peace when Israel is wiped off the map. Maybe they recommend more "land for peace," until there is no more land to give for peace, just more land for terrorists to stage their operations against Israel.
Maybe we should remove the plus sign from all calculators, computer keyboards and so on?
I heard the ACLU was persuing a ban on the lower case ‘t’.
I'm on it. I've taken a marker to all the + signs everywhere I find them.
Oh, no! Now even Nike is doing it.
“...to shove it up their Obama.”
Hey I like your phrase. We should start a trend and all start using it instead of the other word.
White out? Wait a minute. That’s racsist! Does that mean the white folks are going to white out the black folks or does it mean the black folks are going to take out the white ones? Don’t know, but it’s racist.
She’s Jewish, a peace activist, and too easily offended by things. It’s not even a religious symbol, but because it reminds her of a religious symbol, then she is ready to go to war about it.
These same types of people make fun of conservatives/traditionalists who are offended by the name of the TV show “Californication”. To liberals, there is nothing wrong or objectionable or suggestive about the name of that show. And the liberals say, why would anyone protest the name of that show? It doesn’t mean that the show is objectionable, yadda, yadda, yadda.
But simply seeing something that can resemble a Christian religious symbol gets their panties in a twist, and intimidates people. Unbelieveable.
She comes to OUR country and starts telling people what to do? The shirt she’s wearing has some kind of Hebrew writing on it. I object. I think she shouldn’t wear her shirt because it is very offensive to those who are not Jews.
So do many telephone poles and power poles and we all know that these are far right wing Christian organizations.
If it were the crescent moon on display with a green background, Obama and the suicidal Dems would be wearing them.
Which is fascinating because it is precisely their Liberalism that the jihadists hate the most about the US. Go figure.
