'I'm Sure Rahm Emanuel Waiting For Baby Shower Invites He Wasn't Getting Before'

Slam dunk, or nothing-but-net three-pointer? Either way, Chuck Todd has surely scored some points in the battle over Pres. Obama's all-male White House basketball games.

The NBC News political director/chief WH correspondent got off his shot while discussing the issue with Andrea Mitchell—whose sympathies were clearly with the distaff side—during the 1PM hour slot on MSNBC today.

She’s had tons of plastic surgery. My friend who worked in news with her said the crews hate her so much they light her badly and use the most unflattering angles to show her pock-marked skin.

Actually I think it would be more appropriate for Mitchell to retire or finish out her career with Linda Douglass (formerly of ABC News), Jay Carney (former Washington Bureau Chief for Time) and Jill Zucker (formerly of the Chicago Tribune) working for Bambi’s administration, I’m sure she’d feel right at home.

LOL, reminds me of the episode of The Office where they have a basketball game, and Phyllis offers to be a cheerleader, but after Michael says, “Yuck no”...he redeems the situation by putting her on the team instead.

I say Chuck missed the shot entirely. I’m sure not a fan of Mitchell, but she probably didn’t know what to respond at first because his retort made no sense.

The point was that Obama had a basketball court installed in the WH where he chooses to hang out with the male staffers. So, those guys might have his ear more often and maybe some more pull, too.

I could care less if he’s playing basketball and with whom, but he and the Dems have been preaching for years about women in the workplace. I’m sure Obama himself would be making the “boys club” accusation if a Republican president had torn out the bowling alley (something that could appeal to both men and women of all ages) and installed a basketball court where he and only the male staffers got together to play. This is another case of Obama’s Do-As-I-Say-Not-As-I-Do attitude.

For the record, I’m a woman who loves to shoot hoops. But, it sounds like Obama and his staff are playing a game. Even a woman willing to play probably wouldn’t be welcome in a game. It would ruin their fun because they’d have to be extra careful about fouls and so on.
