16-year-old high school student Jennifer Rankin fully intended to unite her voicelessness with that of the unborn as part of the annual Pro-Life Day of Silent Solidarity when she arrived at school yesterday, reports Bill Henry of Sun Media, reports Patrick B. Craine, LifeSiteNews.com.
She was impeded, however, by her school principal, who stated that the right to free speech does not apply on school property and who forced Rankin to remain in isolation for the entire day as long as she participated in the event.

I believe there have been court cases saying the right to free speech does indeed apply on school property. Her family should be thinking about suing the socks off of the principal.
This is probably what they would like to start with for all deviationists. I am sure camps and walls for execution would follow.

I skipped over the Canada part! You’re right, I don’t think they have the same guarantees up there. However, now that Bambi has declared a state of emergency here (a favorite dictator technique for quashing civil rights), we may be in the same boat...
Evidently the school principal has never heard of 'the law of unintended consequences'. It seems that, rather than squelching the protest, he is upping the ante and giving the protest more power and exposure...
That’s just what I was thinking. The principal is just fooling himself if he doesn’t think that every kid in school will know about this and sympathize with the girl who was treated that way.
What better way to get the message out?
I am pro-life, but I do not like the idea of using your school time as a protest, you want to protest something, fine, do it before and after school, I’d say the same thing for any left wing protests.
I don’t mind the tee shirts I guess, but this seems to go a bit far, and I’m not even sure about the tee shirts, think about kids going to school with aborted babies on there shirts or homosexual acts, I say again this stuff should be left out of the school day, leave it for learning.
Sorry. The crap they teach in school ain’t fit to learn. THIS was a true learning/teaching experience. My kids have always toed the line on these issues at school (until I brought my youngest home to homeschool him). My other 2 wore controversial shirts, wrote papers on touchy subjects, and my middle boy won a debate in psychology class on abortion when he, after 3 days of being told my body my choice by a group of smart alec black girls, and not more than a few of their boyfriends, posted color photos of aborted fetuses all over the classroom prior to class. The girls freaked out when my son calmly asked them, whose body they were making a choice about. He was the only conservative pro life kid in the room, and had converted a class of almost 30 with this.
But what do you want to bet that on the Day of Silence, (taped mouths, silence, in support of LBGT people, observed for 13 years in Canada) the principal lets students make their public statement?
Which is much easier to make when its fashionable and many of your peers are doing the same, and many of the teachers supporting it, and most everyone else too polite or intimidated to object?
Jennifer Rankin has more courage than most teenagers.
But what do you want to bet that on the Day of Silence, (taped mouths, silence, in support of LBGT people, observed for 13 years in Canada) the principal lets students make their public statement?
Which is much easier to make when it’s fashionable and many of your peers are doing the same, and many of the teachers supporting it, and most everyone else too polite or intimidated to object?
Jennifer Rankin has more courage than most teenagers.
The schools are promoting abortion, homosexuality, islam, gun control and global warming, with impunity! Do you want the opposition silenced?
