Medical "mistakes" kill 400,000 people each year. Smoking kills around 400,000 annually. That's more than 2,000 people every day. Traffic deaths kill about 42,000 Americans annually. That's over 100 every day. The number dead from H1N1 isn't particularly unusual. It's just getting lots of focus. Look at how much time is lavished on a few sensational cases of missing children. The press makes a big splash for a few, while many more are kidnapped or killed and hardly noticed. It's press sensationalism. Obama's press.

Along with the circumstances of WWI and lack of hygene, that flu pandemic will not be repeated in 2009.
If you read even a simple Wikipedia or a much deeper medical explanation on that pandemic, yes, secondary infections did cause deaths. Not all for sure but many.
You know damned well he's going to 'keep going'....and at warp speed. The question is, how long will American patriots sit by and WATCH this destruction of America, the free market system and our freedoms. That is the ONLY question.

I doubt you could get swine flu vaccine now.
I recommend you have your doctor and pediatrician write prescriptions for Tamiflu for you and your child, and buy it now and have it available so that you can start immediately (within 24-48 hours) if/when you or child get symptoms of flu.
It’s great in knocking out the virus quickly so it can decrease the damage done to vulnerable lungs that can lead to morbity or mortality.

Read it real slowly and understand this, First of all it states that 2/3 of the children had high risk medical condition. Not just seizures... but some "high risk" medical condition.... not specific.
Then "nearly all".. whatever that means had an illness "related to the nervous system..... Including CP, MR , epilepsy and seizure. Is it equal among all four of those groups... is it heavily weighted towards the kids with bad gag reflexes like kids with CP or is just kids with seizures.
I don't doubt for a minute that kids with epilepsy might have problems with secondary infections due to meds suppressing their immune response or poor gag reflexes causing aspiration pneumonia. but really..... the running around and panic caused by this swine flu over and under analysis is mind boggling.
We have a guy that declared a NATIONAL EMERGENCY!!!! over this. We have idiots waiting in line in the cold, rain and snow for immunizations ... in crowds with multiple exposures for a vaccine whose dosage and frequency is variable. ....
God help us if we ever have a true emergency in this country. I can already tell if we ever had a SHTF crisis most of the herd is getting culled in the first 3 or 4 days just by running around with their hands in the air waiting in some line for the Washington nipple.

No doubt secondary infections were part of Swine flu mortality in 1918-1919 flu epidemic.
What I’m trying to explain is that it was a stronger strain than the current one, and that it killed a number of people outright before they could have developed secondary infections.
WIth the climate debate, this level of science seems to have become the norm. (You would be amazed at how much data there has been interpolated).
We should be raising He!!, period, this is just one more instance where "information" is being presented as fact without the data, and those who should be gathering that data are getting fat off of our taxes.

I guess my question is, why AREN'T the doctors getting enough seasonal flu vaccine? There's enough doses available. And YET, docs are being told they will get NO MORE. It sounds like Zero/Chicago thug style payback to doctors that do NOT tow the government healthcare party line to me. I can't ever remember a time when commercial stores received MORE flu vaccine than physicians and where the physicians were told they would not get more, despite their request and need for more.
Just part and parcel of what to expect under an Obamanation, perhaps?
