The age of the earth and the age of life on it need not be the same or even close from what I've learned.

But, according to YEC'ers, accepting an old earth is denying the Bible and totally non-Christian.

Maybe you're confusing Darwinism and belief in an earh much older than life AND/OR “Once again, you are limiting God's powers to your earth-bound perceptions.”
