The body of a 9-year-old Missouri girl who vanished walking home from a friend's house was found in a heavily wooded area Friday.
An "older juvenile" suspect led authorities to Elizabeth Olten's body, deep in the woods near where an exhaustive search for the child was under way for much of the day.
Elizabeth disappeared just after she started walking home from a friend's house Wednesday night.
"There's been no contact with her since then," Cole County Sheriff Greg White told Fox News earlier Friday, before Elizabeth was found dead.
White said Elizabeth spoke with her parents on the phone before she left her friend's house.

Through physical evidence and some written evidence, officials said at a 3 p.m. news briefing, they determined a person of interest.
That person was interviewed and then led officials to the body.
A juvenile, apparently a friend of Elizabeth’s, is involved in the case.
No other details were available immediately, and the case remains under investigation.
Indeed. Demons are prowling the earth and seem to have become increasingly uninhibited in recent times.
Police in Missouri say they have found the body of a missing 9-year-old girl and have a juvenile in custody.
Cole County Sheriff Greg White on Friday described the juvenile as a “person of interest” who was acquainted with the girl, Elizabeth Olten.
White would not give any details on how Olten died or about the juvenile in custody except to say that the person lived in the area west of Jefferson City and was older than Olten.
Authorities announced that her body had been recovered in a heavily wooded area. This is an area that they have been searching since Wednesday.

Poor little girl. I had heard about this story this morning. So turns out a juvenile killed her. These perverts start young and work their way up to adulthood. Sickening what is going on in our society
I’m for having the perp staked out on the ground and giving the girl’s mother a pair of pliers. Let your imagination lead you to what the pliers are for.

Indeed, he does. It’s sad beyond words that so many people either fail to realize that or fail to acknowledge that fact.
Way back in Job we are told that Satan had been walking among the people of Earth.
I really don’t know how a parent in these days and times can let a child go anywhere alone, even for a few minutes. And it’s not even enough to have them in your sight, you have to be close enough to intervene if need be.
One of Satan’s greatest tricks is to make us believe he exists and that those who insist he does are just religious freaks who should be ignored.
He’s real, he’s right in here among us and he’s out to get your soul. He wants to make you an offer you can’t refuse, and most likely you won’t even realize the offer is coming from him.
I’m sorry about this little girl...but why in the hell did the parents allow her to walk home by herself. They couldn’t go pick her up? When are people going to wake up, that your kids are not safe alone out there.
There are evil people everywhere.

I wouldn’t dream of letting my precious little 8 year old daughter walk to or from school or anywhere-even to the next door neighbor’s house-without me or her dad. The girl in Florida looked an awful lot like her, but my little girl has blonde hair, so it especially hurts to see the story about the girl from Florida.
My daughter isn’t even allowed to stick her nose out in the fenced and locked backyard without my knowledge and supervision.
I don’t even like to let my big, strapping(he’s bigger than me)13 year old boy walk anywhere. Hubby and I often disagree on this, because he’s overweight and needs the exercise and he’s getting to be a big boy now. Even as big as he is, he could still be overpowered by someone bigger and stronger than he is or someone who is armed.
It’s a shame our kids can’t have the kind of freedom children should have because of the evil people.
And the poor parents must be dying from the guilt they must be feeling at letting them go out there alone.
It’s just heartbreaking.
I always include keeping children safe in our family prayers before we eat.

Yes, a JUVENILE - most likley someone she trusted around her age. It seems this happens more and more by KIDS.
thanks to our Supreme Court, these little darlings need not worry about capital punishment ,either.
OMG what is going on. Our girls are not safe.
