Scozza-mentum: T-Paw may endorse Hoffman
Hot Air ^ | October 23, 2009 | Ed Morrissey

ABC’s Rick Klein asked Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty today about his thoughts on New York’s 23rd Congressional special election, and found that Pawlenty has definitely had his interest piqued by the sudden national coverage of the race. Earlier this week, Pawlenty — like most people — had paid little attention to the race to replace John McHugh, a moderate Republican joining the Obama administration. Now, however, he’s concerned about the credentials of the GOP-endorsed candidate, and told Klein that he’s considering an endorsement of Douglas Hoffman:

“My point was, Pawlenty is following Palin’s lead, and Palin is following Fred Thompson’s lead with the endorsement.”

I got it. However, last I checked, Thompson does not have future Presidential aspirations. TP does.

Thompson was just a stalking horse for McLame in the primary

"Why are people supporting this third party loon? He's going to hand the election to the Democrat. And we can't allow that to happen! "

The way things have gone this last two weeks, it's Scozza who is whizzing in the soup, not the third party "loon."

Go 'Cuda! She has the right instincts on this.

“A. Ross Perot got Clinton elected.”

George H Bush, that east coast rino got Clinton elected.

Bush ignored the conservative base, thus creating an opening for Perot. Read your history.

I don’t know why so many people have this dislike for Pawlenty?

He is not an attack dog. He has a pleasant way about himself. He’s not the usual egomaniac that chooses to run for President. But don’t make the mistake of thinking he is a wimp about conservative principles. For many years he has been the dyke holding back the ocean of liberalism in the state of Minnesota.

Gosh you flatter me if you think I”m young enough to have to “read” that history. I lived it.

Perot split the non-Clinton vote. That’s a fact—Clinton never got a majority, only a plurality.

True, Clinton did not get a majority. Don’t blame Perot for what Bush left on the table. Bush was a moderate and ignored a portion of the conservative base.

Newt (The Old Non-Carrupted One) did NOT ignore the base and lead the GOP with sweeping majority in the house after Clinton’s election.

The MODERATE GOP had their chance with two GOP majorities and a Prewsidency several years ago and squandered it away with Dubia Ports, Harriet Myers, Out of control spending and open borders...and other scaandals etc.

I saw this, along with the earlier reports of Pawlenty’s confusion on this whole race in NY23. Really, these endorsements are getting silly. Hoffman needs to be focusing in his district. An endorsement from John McHugh (the congressman this district elected last year) is the only one he should be pursuing actively. These others might help with grass roots fundraising from all over the country, but I doubt they have too much effect in the district itself.

Has everyone seen this: “The Most Important Number in Politics Today.”

Doug Hoffman is the Conservative alternative in this race (or Hoffman by PayPal).

Markos Moulitsas, founder of The Daily Kos has endorsed Scozzafava. Dede Scozzafava has also been endorsed by NYSUT, the largest labor union in New York, and an affiliate of the National Education Association.

Scozzafava also holds these positions:

Scozzafava has also run in past elections on the Working Families Party (a progressive party associated with ACORN) line on the ballot.

This lady isn’t a RINO, she is a big “R” libeRal democRat. Mark Steyn has coined the term DIABLO for her and others like her. Democrat In All But Label Only.

There are also at least 17 unprincipled DIABLO enablers in the house who have donated funds or otherwise supported to this LibeRal democRat's DIABLO’s campaign. They include Boehner, Cantor, Sessions, Hensarling, Brown-Waite and McCotter. I don’t have a full list, but I will be looking for it. These unprincipled enablers should be targeted for elimination in the primaries next year. Also, perhaps those of us who donated to the RNC or RCCC should ask for our money back so we can support the conservative candidates of our choice.

I support Doug Hoffman for Congress (PayPal).

Please, spread the word about this important election on November 3, 2009 in New York’s 23rd congressional district.

“Considering” an endorsement?? What the hell is there to consider? It’s either endorse a leftist or a conservative. How long does it take to make the decision?! Pawlenty is just another gutless limp-wrist, afraid to annoy those splendid, rock-ribbed American patriots currently in charge of the republican party.

You mean "She's" going to hand the election to the Democrat, right?

This is the third time you've sent me the same material in the space of less than two full days.

Are you being deliberately offensive, or are you merely stupid?

Did you hear Huck fall all over his explanation for not endorsing Hoffman a few minutes ago on Cavuto? He is speaking to the conservatives next week and didn’t want to blur the lines........ what the heck is that tap dance?
