ABCs Rick Klein asked Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty today about his thoughts on New Yorks 23rd Congressional special election, and found that Pawlenty has definitely had his interest piqued by the sudden national coverage of the race. Earlier this week, Pawlenty like most people had paid little attention to the race to replace John McHugh, a moderate Republican joining the Obama administration. Now, however, hes concerned about the credentials of the GOP-endorsed candidate, and told Klein that hes considering an endorsement of Douglas Hoffman:

There goes his Crimmus card from Juan McAmnesty.
Sorry, that would be “Pawlenty of nuthin”
What’s to think about? Get behind Sarah and Rick, Tim. Sarah’s lead the way.
well well well!!! Guess Pawlenty doesn’t want Sarah to take all the credit when Hoffman wins!!!Can’t imagine he didn’t take notice of a race in his state, but ...oh well!!
Another display of dynamic leadership from the RINO Pawlenty! /s
Mittens will jump on board within the next few days, as will Huck. Watch for it.
Folks, don’t pile on to Pawlenty for being late. (Even though he is.) People who come out on the right side need to be encouraged, even if they’re late to the party. If we bash someone for doing the right thing, what message does that send?
He had to check with Will Steger and his dogsled team 1st-—
make sure it wouldn’t negatively effect his carbon buttprint.
In all fairness, who would have expected the Hoffman phenom? I’m a news junkie, and the development caught me in (delighted) surprise. Plus, I’m scared of third parties and the damage they can do. Now I think we ought to turn it into a giant party/rally.
Mittens has been soberly industrious the last year buffing up to every elite RNC/GOP mugwump that would speak to him.
I don’t see him letting his hair down. He,Juan and the GOP hacks, bureaucrats, pseudo conservatives( David Keene of the ACU ) have been gunning for Palin for a year now. No, they are going to try to put and hold a pillow to Hoffman.
If Hoffman wins, Conservative Democrats will see in Palin that they have a Go For Broke partner, and not the usual Republican ( and Democrat ) hack, and we may see something. Something which could threaten both parties. RINOs and Lefties, who I swear are the same, and conservative and patriotic Democrats and Republicans with some third party and Libertarians. The whole political system, corrupt, elderly, exhausted and fraudulent and lying to everyone, left and right, might just go sloodydope.
Good.
Sarah did not need to be encouraged to do the right thing. As I said before, what’s to decide? Does he have to take a poll or get someone’s permission to back the conservative? Who wants that kind of decision making in a leader?
There's strategic and there's tactical. For now, welcome the folks who are helping with our goal -- getting Hoffman elected. Later, after the race is over and the big boys (and girls!) are jockeying for position, we can dissect this into who was leading and who was following. But at this moment, why kick a gift horse in the mouth?
Amen
Just minutes before she made the announcement, Pawlenty happened to be speaking to reporters in Washington after a fundraiser for his new political action committee. The Minnesota governor refused to make an endorsement when asked about the race.
"You know I haven't been following that, I haven't studied the race at all," he said. "It's not that I would or wouldn't, I just don't know anything about it. I haven't taken the time to study their positions, their records, so I haven't taken a position on it."
I don’t see his wishy-washiness as a ‘gift horse’. The article says he’s ‘considering’ it. Make a decision, man. Sarah and Rick Santorum are already in his corner. I doubt Pawlenty would make much of a difference anyway, if he ever decides what he’s going to do.
TP is a follower, not a leader.
Following Palin’s lead.
A.Name me the last time any third party has done any damage to America?
B. Everything done to America has been done by the Democrat and Republican party. So, really, we could do worse? What's to lose? We're basically serfs, broke and massively in debt now. What, you want to take a rest for a few years until the beatings continue? That's all you want?
I say it's time to throw, politically, some furniture around. See were all the cockroaches scurry to. See who stands and who runs( Newt ).
Who is following Fred Thompson’s lead :)
