STAMFORD (AP) A second man has pleaded guilty in Connecticut to kidnapping and raping a Connecticut jogger in 2003.
Forty-year-old Jose Amaya pleaded guilty Thursday in Stamford Superior Court. The plea bargain calls for him to serve 20 years in prison. Sentencing is set for Jan. 21.
Darien police say Amaya and Alejandro Mendez assaulted the then-38-year-old woman and forced her into their vehicle as she was jogging, then drove to a secluded spot and sexually assaulted her. Police say the woman later escaped.
Amaya was extradited from Mexico last April. Mendez was sentenced in 2005 to 15 years in prison.
Prosecutors say both men were illegal immigrants who worked as day laborers in Norwalk.
Amaya's lawyer says his client agreed to a prison sentence that the victim wants.

You hear about this so frequently that I wonder if this is what mexican women have to endure all the time
Is Stamford a sanctuary city? The jogger should sue the city and anyone who employed the illegals. Screwy lawsuit idea - yeah but this happens daily. Sex crimes by illegals are off the charts.
A civilized society would provide the closure of a public hanging.
Requires men in positions of pubic offices. Stoic, steady. We live in a infantilized, woosieized country where no one is below average, everyone is a victim and men are senitive.

Great place ....... no wonder they come here.
Laredo, Texas.
Is that a teardrop tattoo on his left eye?
I saw a show on Nat Geo Channel that said the teardrop tattoo is a Mexican sign that he killed someone. Its like notches on the grips of a revolver.
