Mexico needs the 2nd amendment!
[snip] Mexican gun control
A woman, 50, in Chihuahua city, Chihuahua, was arrested for being in possession of a .357 caliber pistol that she used to shoot a burglar breaking into her house. The burglar received a gunshot wound to the leg and was arrested. The type of revolver the woman used is restricted to the exclusive use of the military, authorities noted. She was initially charged with wounding the burglar, but the state Attorney General dropped that charge and only held her for possession and use of a prohibited firearm.

What legal recognition does Mexico provide for Americans who live there? They aren’t allowed to become citizens.

73% of GOP Voters Say Congressional Republicans Have Lost Touch With Their Base (Rasmussen)

Much of that has to do with the GOP and immigration. When the GOP leadership STOPS being the Squatter Support Squad and promoting amnesty, they may get some support.
Hey, Manny, you wouldn’t mind if say, 50 million Central and South Americans flooded your Mexican borders demanding recognition and special benefits, no ? Oh, you would ? It’s time the U.S. got as tough on illegals as Mexico does. They have ZERO tolerance for illegals.
Let the limousine liberals clean their own toilets.
Let the farmers in the valley pay Americans to pick grapes.

Mexican Senator Velasco doesn't write laws in the US, so he can't do anything for the illegal immigrants in the US. But he does write laws in Mexico and he can do something for the illegal immigrants in Mexico from Guatemala, Honduras and points south. Why doesn't he write a law to legalize these illegal immigrants and provide care and comfort for their families in their home countries?
One of the many things I'm fed up with these days is the hypocrisy of Mexico, Mexican officials and the Mexican government. They treat illegal immigrants in their country very harshly. Heck, even legal immigrants are not allowed to own real estate or participate in political activities.
So, Senator Velasco, clean your own house before telling Americans what to do.
Wonder how many families work for him.
It’s hilarious. The Mexican far-left party is actually better on the issue of immigration than the center-right party. They don’t like all the people leaving as a matter of national pride.
Remember last summer when the Mexican Drug Cartels burned down 88,000 acres in the the LaBrea fire in California, and a forest service employee was killed in Oregon trying to clear one of their plantations? Some of our congresspeople are paying attention.
From Cong. Wally Herger
E-Update on Immigration and Homeland Security: Increase Federal Protection of Public Lands from Drug Cartels
Because of your interest in immigration and homeland security, I wanted to let you know that I have requested a meeting with officials from the Department of Homeland Security, Office of National Drug Control Policy, Drug Enforcement Administration, Forest Service, and Bureau of Land Management to gather information and ensure they are working to develop an effective, coordinated strategy to protect our nations public lands and local citizens from the violence and problems that are associated with the ongoing marijuana production. The rampant illegal production of marijuana on our public lands is outrageous and unacceptable and is putting citizens at risk. According to the Drug Enforcement Agency, 3.68 million marijuana plants were seized on federal lands between January and November of 2008. Local law enforcement officials believe that most of this marijuana production is being run by Mexican drug cartels. These drug traffickers are increasingly turning to violence and have fired on law enforcement officers on a number of recent occasions. Their actions jeopardize the lives of our law enforcement officers and citizens using the land for recreation.
Local law enforcement agencies have expressed concerns that the federal government is not providing the necessary support to protect our public lands from the large-scale marijuana plantations operated by drug traffickers. Make no mistake, this is fundamentally a federal responsibility. For this reason, I have requested a joint meeting with the relevant federal agencies to gather more information about the federal governments efforts and help ensure that counter-narcotics efforts are well coordinated and are receiving the resources and attention necessary to effectively address this serious challenge. It is time for the federal government to meet its responsibilities with a sense of urgency. I will continue my efforts to ensure that our law enforcement officials have the necessary resources to fight this growing problem.
The sad thing is most of our Senators feel the same way!
