Go Sarah 2012!
Who cares anymore? He crossed over some time ago. He is now a RINO.
Palin PING!
Anyone on or off the Palin ping, write me.
Yes, looks like it, but I’m wondering how long Karzai (sp?) will be around though.
I’m not sure who, the name is buried in my blurred memory. What I do recall is that Newt, McCain, Steel have all been for years blathering about the GOP becoming big tent, except of course for conservatives, and although not really describing me, especially not social conservatives whom as far as the east coast, Washington loving RNC is concerned, they need to just open their wallets, do all the leg work, stay away, vote as they are told and shut up and not talk to anyone. Conservatives and especially social conservatives are treated worst of all.
Well, now with Palin saying, and doing, in supporting the conservative of the candidates, and building out side the tent( snicker, how do you like the ‘expand the tent’ now, RNC/GOP? ), conservatives of all stripes have an hint, just a little one, of getting some in your face leverage to the GOP Washington East Coast mafia.
By the way, it looks like Palin is inside the GOP OODA Loop.( fighter talk ).
Soul? That's very religious centric of you. That kind of extreme social conservative language is just the type we are trying to avoid if we are to attract big taxing, big spending, petty materialist, double income no kids ( Dinks ), lefties, crunchy granola vegetable oil burning, Druids, NAMBLA supporters into the Big, mulit cult, Kumbaya Republican Party! ( /sarc )
GWB and the last congress were enough for me. After 30+ years as a member of the Republican Party I registered Independent. And I'm glad I did.

You do realize Abe Lincoln was a third party candidate, right? Sometimes an institution becomes so overgrown with the entanglements of it’s own hubris there is no redeeming it. Think Martin Luther. Time to start over.
Please tell me the difference between Scozzy and the Democrat candidate...her husband's already explored the possibility of her switching parties with Democrat bigwigs in New York, and her spokesman has essentially telegraphed her intentions to stab the GOP in back if she is elected and goes to DC.
You want us to support somebody like THAT, just because they have a "R" next to their name?
Forget it!
Because people like this have no defining moral center. They only believe in the win.
People like this also don't understand that it is occasionally OK to lose a battle if it helps you win the war. That is strategy. Short term losses for long term gains.
In this case...supporting the RINO (left winger) does far more harm than good. As you said...your enemy isn't clearly defined. In this case...the enemy...which is also the party establishment which backs (with our contributions) these people gets a vote of confidence every time someone like Greg obediently votes for their choice...a choice which so ill-defines conservatism it isn't even funny.
So...I am willing to take a short term loss if it sends a message. Greg and Cedric (and others) keep saying: "Defeat them in the primaries..." but that is hard when the PARTY (you know...the one they obediently support) is funding the RINO.
This problem isn't at the district level...it isn't at NY-23...it is with the party. Continuing to do the bidding of the leadership by electing their choice, even when that choice is against everything the GOP is SUPPOSED to stand for, will ensure a long slippery slope into obscurity.
So for all you party 1sters...wanna keep losing the conservative agenda, then keep sending the signal that your OK with it.
I think the local party committee is composed of lawyers, developers, and other grifters whose main interest is in getting somebody pliable who will lean on the bureaucracy for them. If that involves making a deal with the Dems, then so be it.
The whole NY 23 local committee needs to go.
If a dem gets in, he'll only be there for a year before having to face a Republican challenger.
If Scozzafava gets in, the RNC will work against allowing any Primary challenger in 2010.
The national GOP had nothing to do with her selection, but has everything to do with funneling money into her campaign coffers. I'm tending to agree the party chairs were looking toward their own personal gain.
This race has become a referendum on the status quo of the GOP on all levels.
The national GOP had nothing to do with her selection, but has everything to do with funneling money into her campaign coffers.
The National GOP should have bothered to take a look at the local selection and responded with "Are you NUTS? Try again!". We should have had a few county chairs calling up RNC leaders and blowing the whistle, at least.
As it stands, we need 11 more county chairmen in Upstate NY.
Sorry, but that old hag is no Republican.
She's an "establishment Republican", they very type of insider candidate that we need to rid the GOP of. She's not the nominee out of any merit or philosophy, but rather because she's connected to the "club" that runs the show.
Break up the "club" and put in candidates with real convictions.
That's what you call Going Rogue baby.
