I’m beginning to believe that this NY 23 gambit is an attempt by the RNC establishment to test the resolve of the Tea Party Republicans.

I think the local party committee is composed of lawyers, developers, and other grifters whose main interest is in getting somebody pliable who will lean on the bureaucracy for them. If that involves making a deal with the Dems, then so be it.

The whole NY 23 local committee needs to go.

I just got an email back from my brother who lives in the NY-23rd. He said it was the party chairmen from the 11 counties in the district that selected Scozzafava this past summer from a pool of 8 candidates..

The national GOP had nothing to do with her selection, but has everything to do with funneling money into her campaign coffers. I'm tending to agree the party chairs were looking toward their own personal gain.

This race has become a referendum on the status quo of the GOP on all levels.
