Wonderful! I have attended several here in Ohio and am always so impressed with the behavior of the crowd. I become so angry when I hear the left speak of us being “teabaggers”. Thank you for the update.
You are correct about the crowd’s behavior. They are some of the most well mannered and patriotic people you’d ever want to meet. There were no incidents at all.
It ticks me off when I hear the President’s mocking tone referring to “teabaggers.”

It was great. Best of all, I finally got to meet Jim Robinson! Very fitting for my 10 year anniversary as a FReeper at midnight!

Negative report;
The map used on announement led you to the center of the park, a fire trail about five miles from the event.
No one (apparently) scouted the location before sunday.
There were NO signs and no directions to the site.
There is no sign indicating you can get to Crystal Springs via the upper (left) road coming in from Los Feliz and less again coming in from the LA Zoo.
There is no way to determine for how far ahead the Crystal Springs road is closed - only traffic cones and brake lights.
By the time I went around to the Zoo entrance there was about a mile's worth of immobile traffic waiting just to get the the (other) split in the roads (people parking and walking as late as five PM)
Due to my own inaction I was running on fumes and turned 'round to get gas rather than idle it dry.
Others were doing the same.
Missed the show.
I'll take my lumps for poor planning and, I expect, lack of motivation; but the express folks have got to do a better job of communicating what's what if they want to get the higher crowd numbers that LA actually had to offer.
That said:those who got there, made up the head count, and got out with their sense of humor intact are true heros to the cause.

According to those who know in my area, after your fever breaks, you could still be spreading the disease for another five days. Maybe a look up at one of the med sites would be in order before venturing out.
