I cringe when I see "the mother's boyfriend" mentioned in these stories.
I see boyfriend and two hour wait to call police, that’s when I started shaking my head.
That got me, too, along with these gems:

I have to admit I do too, but my son just married a girl with 2 kids after dating her for a couple of years. He treats them as if they were his own, he is as good a Dad to them as you could find. I have a little different perspective on it now, but yes, it’s often not a good situation for the kids.
