John McCormack is a reporter working for The Weekly Standard. Dede Scozzafava is the extremely liberal New York Assemblywoman running as a Republican to succeed Rep. John McHugh from the Empire State's 23rd congressional district in the upcoming special election.
Scozzafava was speaking at a GOP dinner Monday evening. McCormack was reporting on Scozzafava's campaign, including her recent pledge to the AFL-CIO to support Big Labor's top legislative objective, the Card Check proposal - currently stalled in Congress - to abolish the secret ballot in workplace representation elections.
Scozzafava apparently didn't appreciate being asked about her support of Card Check because after she left and McCormack went to his laptop to file a report on the evening's event, the police showed up. What happened next is .... well, here's McCormack's description:
"Minutes later a police car drove into the parking lot with its lights flashing. Officer Grolman informed me that she was called because 'there was a little bit of an uncomfortable situation' and then took down my name, date of birth, and address.
Henry Bowman time approaches.
Sounds like Scuzzyfavor has taken lessons from Rahmboob..................
Newt really screwed the pooch on this one...
NY == “Fauxpublicans” are all the rage now...
Bookmarked.
All reporters need to take notice. Freedom of the Press is quickly being squashed.
I am aghast that she is running as a GOP candidate and gets any GOP money - is this pond scum getting RNC money? more details please
If we don't support her, the Democrats win.
Is a sarcasm tag really necessary?
Sure she's a lefty, but she's a Republican lefty !
Just what we need, more Olympia Snowes. What is with the RNC? Why do they want to elect Democrats in diguise? Et tu Newt, et tu?
I've spent 30 years basically voting "anti-Democrat". It hasn't got me much. I vote Conservative now. Nothing else.
And if we do support her I suspect the Democrats win even bigger since the GOP will not do anything about her or put up another candidate againster no matter how bad she gets.
When was the last time the GOP endorsed a challenger to a GOP incumbent?
Think we should call the RNC and let them know, no more contributions. I get calls and mail from them all the time and have contributed in the past. No more.
How can one be supportive of card check and the GOP support them? This is why the GOP has loss so bad. Wake up GOP party rep’s and push out any of the leadership that even considers this an option or suffer even worst in the future. Start to represent the “We the People”.
They’ve received that message from me. I don’t think they care. I’ll donate to specific campaigns, but that’s it.
There is a conservative running against here his name is Doug Hoffman and he just may kick her butt...

Yeah. According to Gingrich, this woman is “the future of the party.”
NO RINOs!!!
If we end up with Libs with a Lib lable, then at least we can make it clear that the majority oppose liberal policies, BECAUSE THEY DON’T WORK.
As it is now, we fight the charge that the policies are “bipartisin”, and there’s no difference between them...
LET’S SHOW THE PEOPLE THE DIFFERENCE!
Sooner or later we will realize that there is no difference in the real agendas of both the Democratic Party and the Republicans at the top levels. You can look at the office of the President for the last four men in office and see that we have been pushing towards globalism for a long time. That is where the power is and that is where the money is being moved to.
