Actually, it was difficult to absorb Mr. Lamborn’s discussion - as he was continually interrupted by a small group of hecklers; which I’d expect was their intent - Disruption.

Police were called in, however their presence was only precautionary as Congressman Lamborn responded to that small assault on the 1st amendment by calmly requesting civility and order.

Observe the local rag has not much more “information” - and no pictures ta boot.

To me, the “story” is not in Mr. Lamborn’s Health-care record, but in the attempt to establish peaceful discourse on the topic - providing a forum for all opinions to be heard.

Besides, I expect “information” will come from discussion here on FR.. using the photos only as a starting point.

He’s been at the Tea-Parties here in Colorado Springs; and I agree, the more I learn him the more I like him.

He’s always responsive when I write to him on various issues.

At this point, I have no reason to consider him to be anything but a Social and Fiscal conservative.

Unfortunately, it is the intinsic nature of metropolitan areas like Colorado Springs, that they are vulnerable to attack from the left within when experiencing financial turmoil.

I think the main complaint that I’ve heard about the whole thing is that Lamborn held it during the day, on a Monday morning, making it very difficult for those who work or have small children, to attend.

Perhaps if he’d held it in the evening, the outcome may have been different.

Did you see the report online today - the list from the Gazette of all of the names and salaries of city workers? I'm not sure what that was supposed to accomplish, but it didn't make us feel any more inclined to vote for 2C.

City employees will earn $145.3 million this year: (City releases names, titles and salaries of city workers) (^)

Also, I saw where the Gazette joined with the CS Independent to come out in favor of 2C.

Yes, I’ve heard this.

The announcement was made that Mr. Lamborn was to be on a flight back to D.C. shortly after the meeting.

So, based on this, I presume the scheduling of the event was a compromise... between having no opportunity for discourse at all, or having the meeting over the lunch hour.

Perhaps the Congressman’s schedulers observed the effective turn out for the Tea Parties at a similar time?

As it was, it was standing room only and I consider the event to be a successful attempt at civil discourse; and I’m thankful for having the opportunity to participate.
