Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor's nomination process was so controlled that the White House even approved her clothes, she told Yalies when she appeared at her 30th Yale Law School reunion on Saturday.
Sotomayor described her grueling nomination process privately when she spoke to 1,800 alumni, students and faculty , the New Haven Register reports.
State Sen. Ed Meyer attended the event and said Sotomayor became teary at times, but kept the crowd laughing.
The Yale Law School grad talked about shopping for clothes to wear to her acceptance ceremony, but government officials took over the fashion decisions. They told her to bring five suits and then recommended which one she should wear, Meyer said.
Unlikely, at best, as Sotomayor is another "true believer in Socialism" type. Any rebellion on her part would not be a shift to the Right, but more likely further to the Left. The White House would be "picking her decisions" to obscure what they were doing, where she would be more open about it...

Ah, great minds and all that rot, although when I read this I assumed for us brilliant Freepers thinking this would be the first thing that came to mind
I guess we will be seeing all the news shows and sundry other State-Run print media will be all over this as to the cost and what was the disposition of said clothes???
Right! When pigs fly!!!
Libs, thy name is "Hypocrite!"
Gosh....I wonder who in the White House makes these decisions? If Michelle had the final say, then Sonia would certainly look like a circus clown.
Hey, under the Obama administration we’re going to wind up looking like star trekkies all wearing the same uniform. He wants to take over EVERY SINGLE ASPECT of our lives!
Was the White House afraid she would wear a LaRaza t-shirt and a big mexican poncho? How racist of them...
The puppet must be dressed right.
Here's the difference: Gov. Palin was to be on an extended campaign tour, many events, many different cities, no time in between to go all the way back up to Alaska to get a significant change of clothes for the appearances, and was not taken on a shopping spree, as was portrayed by the you-know-who's in the fringe media.
Sotomayor wasn't going on any extended trip, plenty of time to choose appropriate clothing, yet she wasn't even allowed to do her own. Kind of insulting? It's totally insulting, the idea that she isn't capable of selecting an outfit to wear to a law school reunion, where the dress code is pretty standard and any clerk in a decent clothing store, Macy's, Bloomingdale's, etc., could provide assistance if necessary.
This is ridiculous beyond words ... I'm supposed to trust the judgment of a woman re: the laws of our nation when they don't even trust her clothing sense??
And it is especially insulting considering that here appearances were going to be in Washington, DC, not exactly the fashion center of the nation. A decent black suit, a decent taupe suit, a decent red suit for special occasions, a pair of low-heel black shoes, and you’re ready to go.
Are we sure this is correct??? I don't remember seeing Sotomoyer in a boob belt!
0bama thinks she’s a doll.
(He thinks he can dress her, undress her, and play with her)...
Exactly!
It had to be controlled because no one in their right mind would have approved of her being on the Supreme Court.
“No doubt theyll be picking out her decisions too.”
They’ve already got it in bookform for easy reference!
Boob belt, hilarious!!
Palin’s Revenge!
Just great validation from the WH on her decision-making capabilities.
That explains the Boob Belts and second-hand sweater sets.
