The people seek to prevent a revolution by defending, not overthrow the Constitution. BO and his fellow socialists in Congress are the revolutionaries. Yep. We're the counter-revolutionaries, the folks their beloved Mao hated and purged, but we are not going to go at all, much less quietly.

Agreed FRiend. They’ll have to kill me - I’ll not surrender to tyranny - and I can guarantee that MANY of the traitorous enemy will go before I do.

The SPLC is afraid of the Oathkeepers only as much as they think The 0ne will become a dictator.
They seem to be very afraid.

Not did Yamamoto worry about that, but, he also ( I think ) once said that America is the last country to go to war with because America has a large industrial base,,,, at least back in 1945 we did.

As long as rank and file troops were told that the “new constitution” had been enacted legally and validly, I believe they would accept it. Most of them.

Why? Because they can't reach their redistributionist utopia under the current Constitution. The military and many others would revolt first.
I'm not saying a bogus Con/Con would work out any better. I'm just on guard against them trying.
That's the main plot hook in my third novel.

"Treason doth never prosper, what's the reason? Why if it prosper, none dare call it treason." I would never ever claim to be in rebellion or to be a counter-revolutionary or a revolutionary. I would only say I am upholding my oath to defend the Constitution (against all enemies, foreign AND DOMESTIC), and leave it right there.

Don’t be silly; if they didn’t like you they wouldn’t have written such a glowing review of “Domestic Enemies”.

This next couple of sentences is more troubling.
“But these kinds of conspiracy theories are what drive a small number of people to criminal violence. ... What’s troubling about Oath Keepers is the idea that men and women armed and ordered to protect the public in this country are clearly being drawn into a world of false conspiracy theory.”
The word *conspiracy* thrown around as a conversation stopper. IOWs *conspriracy* = *nutjob, tin foiler, etc*.
Keeps the sheep from wandering (or wondering).
