Already dubbed "the most horrific movie ever seen" for explicit and pornographic sadomasochism, violence and occult content, the film "Antichrist" is not yet rated, but when it is, the rating it gets could determine whether or not it's seen in your local theater – and there may be something you can do about it.
The Christian media ministry MovieGuide is inviting people concerned about the film's gruesome and graphic content to join a petition of the Motion Picture Association of America to rate the movie NC-17, which would not only prevent children from viewing the film, but also dissuade many theaters from showing it.
"Coming to your local theater Oct. 23 is a movie that I can only call the most horrific movie ever seen," writes Dr. Ted Baehr, founder and publisher of Movieguide and chairman of the Christian Film & Television Commission. Well, I’m convinced he is.
But I’m sure this movie will be so gruesome that it will put to rest any doubts or confusion I may have had about such a charismatic man of hope.

The headline doesn’t match the story. Is it a petition to “stop,” or a petition to change the rating? Two very different things. Stupid editor.

I’m signing a petition to have the number of the antichrist in the movie changed to 333, the semi-beast.

The last movie to cause me to lose sleep was “The Creature Walks Among Us.” I was nine years old when I saw it. I love a good horror movie, but sometimes the use of blood, guts, and gore is too much.

The Omen movies, especially the first, were good because much was suggested and not explicitly shown. One’s imagination can often do a much better job than the director.
