But a wiser administration would at least warn Japan, privately, what they are risking. China has had grudges against Japan from time immemorial, and China has the sheer manpower to eat Japan alive if it wants and nobody comes to help.

Anti-Japanese? I'm just anti-Hatoyama, who appears to be a weird combination of pinko Japanese nationalist and Chinese vassal wannabe. It will get interesting when the Chinese extract their pound of flesh from Hatoyama in exchange for nothing - maybe the Japanese will finally wake up from their reverie and figure out that just because the LDP is bad doesn't mean that electing socialists and commie symps to power is the solution to Japan's problems. At the same time, it will be entertaining to see two xenophobic countries like China and Japan attempting a love-in - are Japanese sex tourists going to stop making the rounds in China? Are the Chinese going to give up their claim to the Ryukyus? As a 外人 (gaijin, or foreigner) in Japan, you're going to have a ringside seat.
And face. Zero mistakes alliances for being a contract for him to dictate to them. Naturally, to preserve the dignity of their countries and their reputations, they will walk away rather than submit to the orders of a stupid idiot.

Obama has lost all of our traditional allies, on purpose. He will replace them with Chavez, Castro, and the like.And at home he will run the gauntlet of those insensed by his treason and weakness.Its just beginning. At times I am convinced that he will unlikely live through it, a horror brought upon our nation.
America does not support Obama, and the more people of the general public know aboout Obamas plans, the more horrified and angry they will become.Obama is counting on just that.It is the excuse he is waiting for to declare martial law, and the suspension of elections and the bill of rights.
And, China will not exactly welcome them with tender embrace. They’ll accept hegemony over Japan, but Japan will wish they never had put themselves in that position.

It’s a combination of things:
1. Concern regarding the credibility of new US security guarantees
2. Traditional craziness of the stated policies of Hatoyama’s party
3. Growing ability of the PRC to shape the US’ future (debt)
4. Accommodation of some xenophobic forces inside Japan from both the left (all war is wrong) and right (non-Japanese soldiers should not be in Japan.
I think the biggest cause is #1, followed by #4 or perhaps #2.

Simple fix for the Obama mob:
Fire the prime minister and give Japan to SEIU
They'd better ramp up production quick. The first thing they'll need to do when the Chinese start barraging Taiwan with ballistic missiles, is to hammer regional Chinese sub pens, ports, air defenses (which blanket Taiwan's airspace) and airfields to forestall China's invasion fleet and aviation strike units. It would be amusing if both sides spent the first days of the Chinese invasion recovering from missile strikes. It would give the USN time to organize resupply convoys to Taiwan and an allied response, if other countries are willing to get involved. The out-of-power LDP has traditionally leaned towards helping Taiwan in an invasion scenario. The socialists currently in power are communist-leaning pacifists. No one knows how they would react. Ogabe's hand will probably be forced. With Hatoyama, who knows...
Maybe they will try to bring back the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere. This time Japan will be the slave nation.
Nothing (at least not right now) has happened to Kadena. The new base they are talking about would be a replacement for Futenma.
