He cited, as examples of the type of advertising he was talking about, ads produced by Planned Parenthood, the Sierra Club, and Zero Population Growth (ZPG).
Holdren made his argument for using the FCC to advance his vision for population control and environmentalism in the 1977 book, Ecoscience: Population, Resources, Environment. Holdren co-wrote the book with renowned population-control advocates Paul R. Ehrlich and Anne H. Ehrlich.
In the United States a great step could be taken merely by requiring that both radio and television assign some of their commercial time to short public-service spots calling attention to the problems of population, resources, and environment, Holdren, Ehrlich and Ehrlich wrote.

It is ironic that the same people calling for forced abortions and sterilants in drinking water in order to control population growth bristle when immigration is brought up.
‘Rqats should just crawl in a hole and die. Solves multiple problems (no Mao communism in the US, less CO2 to save the earth, lower health care costs to the gov’t, MSNBC goes away, victory in Afghanistan, etc.)
What a team he and Mark Lloyd will make.
EDITORIAL: An administration of radicals

Liberals think there are too many people, and they continue to have babies. Hey greenies, read your own bumper: Think Globally Act Locally!! Sterilize yourselves and your children.
Since adults eat more and drive more, I’d like to know why they don’t volunteer to kill themselves, for the good of the planet.
The list of radicals is longer Im sure. But this is a start

EDITORIAL: An administration of radicals
By THE WASHINGTON TIMES
We know that “safe schools czar” and “Queering Elementary Education” essayist Kevin Jennings failed to oppose homosexual man-boy relationships and that science czar John Holdren has written, without objection, that “laws requiring compulsory abortion could be sustained under the existing Constitution.” We know that one-time Health and Human Services secretary nominee Tom Daschle had to withdraw because of a failure to pay his taxes. But what has not been adequately tallied is how many of President Obama’s nominees and appointees are radical or just plain embarrassing.
When radicalism and ethical shortcomings reach such a critical mass, it’s time to broadcast the dishonor roll. Therefore, in addition to Mr. Jennings, Mr. Holdren and Mr. Daschle, please consider the ramifications of an administration manned by the likes of the following.
The radicals:
Van Jones: The “special adviser for green jobs” resigned on Sept. 5 after stories broke about his ties to a Marxist group, his profane criticisms of congressional Republicans and his association with Sept. 11 “truthers.”
Harold Koh: Barely approved to be the chief legal counsel for the State Department, Mr. Koh is an advocate of the dangerous notion of “transnationalism,” which would elevate foreign law above the U.S. Constitution. Mr. Koh has endorsed a “global regulatory” regime to outlaw firearms.
Sonia Sotomayor: Senate questioners barely touched on the two most disturbing parts of the new Supreme Court justice’s record. First was her opinion in Hayden v. Pataki that states can be forced to allow currently incarcerated murderers and rapists to vote. Second was her discriminatory claim in several speeches that because of “inherent physiological or cultural differences,” gender and national origins “will make a difference in our judging.”
Ezekiel Emanuel: This key White House adviser on health policy has written that “allocation [of medical care] by age is not invidious discrimination” and that “services provided to individuals who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens are not basic, and should not be guaranteed.”
Louis Butler: The new nominee for a federal district judgeship in Wisconsin is a proponent of the theory that manufacturers should be forced to pay damage awards in lawsuits even if there is no evidence that their products made anybody sick.
Charles W. Freeman Jr.: His nomination to chair the National Intelligence Council was withdrawn after public notice of his remarks that American reactions to Sept. 11 gave evidence of “an ugly mood of chauvinism,” that Israeli settlements in disputed lands are “inherently violent” and that the biggest error of Chinese leaders during the Tiananmen Square uprising was their “overly cautious” reaction.
The ethically dubious:
Timothy F. Geithner: The Treasury secretary not only failed to pay all his taxes but actually accepted reimbursement for taxes he never paid.
Yosi Sergant: This activist was forced out as communications director at the National Endowment for the Arts after he used government resources to commingle politics with the arts.
Bill Richardson: The New Mexico governor withdrew as nominee to be secretary of commerce because of a federal investigation into alleged improper business dealings in his state.
And all of that is just a sampling. Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr.’s involvement in the pardons of fugitive Marc Rich and some Puerto Rican terrorists should have been disqualifying. Climate czar Carol M. Browner earlier this year was still a leader of Socialist International’s Commission for a Sustainable World Society. White House counsel Gregory B. Craig and Justice Department Civil Rights chief Thomas E. Perez have troublesome backgrounds as well. And so on.
An old but true rule of governance is that “personnel is policy.” With the Obama administration, that’s a scary thought.

Ugh
0bama could murder someone on LIVE TV and Wolf Blitzer would fact check defend him.
He can be targeted with the UN Convention on Genocide for his specific proposals to limit the amount of children for a specific people.
If the U.N. agenda of writings were to ever be practiced globally it would mimic this radicals ideals. The UN is a group of radicals that hate Israel guised in the name of peace.
Link worked earlier -is offline now...WTH?
Where are al lthe African Americans who were screamign about the GOP putting sterilization forumlas in drinking water and chicken? They’ve now all apparently come down with Laryngitis now that we have folks in the obama administration advocating forced sterilizations? Remember when they were accusing the Bush administration of putting sterilization formula in the chicken down south? Now that we have someoen in office actually advocating doign htis, they are silent?
The friggin hypocrisy of the left is mind-blowing. This frigging country has gone insane! I hope to hell that when the GOP regains the office, that ALL the whakced nutjobs that worked under obama ARE exposed to the public on a daily basis and that the GOP sends the message that we can NEVER EVER go back to that kind of insanity again IF we want htis country to remain the greatest nation on earth!
...soon these people will finally do something so outrageous which will be their end.
Their overbearing arrogance will be their downfall. Every day more and more of the slime in Zer0 administration is coming to light, and each revelation is worse than the last.
...we already know there are socialists, communists, radical bomb throwers, Che and Castro admirers...NAMBLA supporters...and even a Mao "admirer"?..
...Damn..what's next....a Hitler admirer?....a Lucifer admirer?....how about a 911 terrorist admirer?
I don't know what kind of person who would be worse to have in an American POTUS administration, but I am confident that Zer0 will think of somebody.
Which is exactly why I am utterly opposed to any continuation of immigration, considering what has happened since 1965.
These SOB's ran around the country in the late 60's-early 70's screaming "we're all gonna die! overpopulation!".
It was nonsense and they knew it. And they know it now.
Their opposition was to the increase in population of White people, not the new immigrants, which for the first time in American history were overwhelmingly non-White.
This was consistent with their worldview: the Whites were guilty of being the most destructive people on Mama Earth - they consumed the most, destroyed the lives and habitat of all the other "noble and suffering" people of the planet.
So if you could get the Whites of North America and Europe to commit suicide - abortion, small families, contraception - then the Peaceful and Noble Non-Whites would become the dominant population, and the Sun would come out, the birds would sing, and all would be well on Gaia as the neo-Stone Age types reverted to their typical subsistence lifestyles.
No more evil, heartless White guys with their mink stole wrapped women roaring across the landscape in their belching Cadillacs, consuming mass quantities of the Environment as they go.
Holdren is not just a misanthrope. He's an alienated traitor: a misfit with an all consuming hatred for the population he came from. His mission is to kill us and all future generations of us, nothing more.
But of course, not himself. Being a narcissistic coward, he expects to be the last man standing.
So there's nothing ironic about his attitude being contradictory with respect to population control and immigration. He only believes in population control for one group....his own.
