An intruder was shot dead by a resident in a northwest valley home Thursday night.
Las Vegas police said four men broke into a house at 3025 Red Bay Way, near Cheyenne Avenue and Buffalo Drive, about 9:30 p.m.
One of the four intruders was shot and killed. The other three fled the scene. Nobody else was injured, according to police, who gave no motive for the break-in.
The ‘details’ of flying bullets don’t have to be much. Only the fact that they ‘are’.

most folks don’t realize Vegas has wonderful neighborhoods and families and schools.
They just think of the Strip and casinos.
The unfortunate intruder will probably still be voting.

That's true. I have to admit though that's about what I thought of it until I moved here 9 years ago, lol.
With the exception of the Strip, it's about like any other city.
Except that it hits 120 degrees for about half the year.
Actually, I don't think we got over 110 this last summer and it's supposed to be in the 90's today, I like that part.
I've been to Vegas once...in March.I was visiting a gal,who was a nurse,in whom I had an "interest" (never did snag her).After a couple of days there I developed a sore throat but no other symptoms.I mentioned it,in passing,to her...figuring I was just getting a cold.She said,"oh,that's Vegas throat".It's caused by the effect that the low humidity has on its tissues".I think she was right because I never got any other symptoms and it went away soon after I left.That's one the three memories I have of Vegas (the beautiful countryside and not snagging Sarah being the other two).
