You might be right but is it the role of schools to teach morality? Who gets to decide morality?
we know they teach sex education and they make sure girls get birth control.
It is a combo of thinking it won’t happen to them AND tht it is accepted. wonder how many high school mothers are children of single moms.
the pub assistance is a big draw as well
A child's upbringing is the exclusive responsibility of the parents. Certainly they can't be with the kids 24 hours a day, and arguably, *professional teachers* are more capable at teaching certain skills or areas. It used to be done under a concept of en loco parentis. This worked when the schools understood they were mere place holders for the parents, and parents held them accountable for the manner in which they discharged their duties in that capacity.
"Who gets to decide morality?"
Who decided yours?
