Cliff Kincaid over at Accuracy in Media (AIM) announces Fox News has fired Marc Lamont Hill. Cliff represented AIM at NewsCorp's annual meeting. (”Accuracy in Media is a News Corp. shareholder.”) AIM reports that he asked Rupert Murdoch why someone with Hill's radical views would have a role as a Fox News commentator:
Before Kincaid completed the background for his question, News Corp. chairman Rupert Murdoch interrupted Kincaid to say that he appreciated Cliff's work on this matter, and that Hill had been "fired" last week.
We look forward to confirmation of this report. If accurate, it is a major improvement to Fox News and cable news in general. People of every side of the political spectrum should appreciate a robust debate, but radicals of Marx Lamont Hill's ilk do not merit a seat on the highest rated program in news, The O'Reilly Factor.
David Horowitz started the ball rolling when he questioned why Bill O'Reilly interviewed Hill, a "hip-hop culture" expert, for an entire segment about Iran. Then NewsReal bloggers, Cliff Kincaid, and others began digging... (More after jump.)

What’s interesting - well, downright curious - is that this happened right at the moment where the adminstration and ostammeriets have launched an all-out assault on Fox.
The communists in the White House probably got tipped off that Glenn Beck/Fox News had that video clip of their “Communications Director”, Anita Dunn, praising Mao *before* they launched their “research arm of the GOP” assault on Fox N.
This is a must-see video, folks.

I agree and I don’t think they need a replacement for Hill to get the rat point of view. Fox has plenty of mainstream and left of center pundits: Juan Williams, Kirsten Powers, that blonde lady lawyer, Bob Beckel, Alan Colmes once a week and a good number of semi-regulars like Ed Rendell, Pat Caddell, Larry Sabato, that Steve guy who worked for Gore, and so on. There are a lot of them. They sure don’t need that loudmouthed pipsqueak Hill. There are plenty others out there.
Horowitz would be an excellent person to lead a rebellion against the Marxist-Maoist takeover of this country.
I think it started because her husband, John Coale (Coals?), a very prominent litigator, switched from rat to become a McCain supporter.
Greta mostly does a pretty good job now - much improved.
That’s what I’ve always wondered. I also wish they’d quit giving Sharpton fairly regular appearances. Just dump him altogether.
I saw it. Pretty condemning, alright. But neither ostammer nor the rest of the rats have the integrity to dump these people until we force them to.
Most of the Obama Rats are of the same ilk as Anita Dunn, committed Maoists.
Amen to that. Have you seen him when he talks about health care reform and appears to support the public option?
Wrong. Reilly is in cahoots with his wallet, PERIOD.
O'Reilly has the largest audience on cable for the simple reason he appals to every segment of the political spectrum. He will alternately slam and prise Republicans, Democrats, Independents, blacks, hits, Hispanics, Jew,Christians, Muslims and the rest of them. This makes it impossible to pigeon hole him a is so easily done with the whack jobs over on the failing MSNBC.
O'Reilly will say whatever he needs to say in order to keep as large an audience as he possibly can and as we all know a large audience means a large pay check..
He did not get as far as der leader did given their somewhat similar thoughts.
Bring back the Dhue.
As long as the smart, down-to-earth and gorgeous Patti Anne Browne is still gracing that channel, I'm good. :)
You remember when Michael Jackson died he was just gushing and uncontrollable about that. Pathetic!!!!!!!!!!!!!
O’Reilly is about as disingenuous as a person can be. I stopped watching him years ago. He’s delusional if he thinks he’s looking out for me—or any other traditional American.
The worst was when the topic was “torture”. He was almost crying. WE DON’T TORTURE PERIOD!
Im sure research found he is radical politically.
They will scream racism.
I wouldn’t miss his face.
Greta is becoming the reporter we use to have - her opinions are left out - she puts both sides up there.
Sometimes I watch Greta just to get straight facts without all the “debate for 30 sec” sessions. She does not talk over the person being interviewed, she gives them time to say what they are going to say and asks straight questions.
Very calm, thorough interviewing without trying to be the star of the show.
Can you give a site or video? I have been questioning O’Reilly for a while now.
That is exactly what I think.
