You won't be seeing this scene again soon.
Cliff Kincaid over at Accuracy in Media (AIM) announces Fox News has fired Marc Lamont Hill. Cliff represented AIM at NewsCorp's annual meeting. (”Accuracy in Media is a News Corp. shareholder.”) AIM reports that he asked Rupert Murdoch why someone with Hill's radical views would have a role as a Fox News commentator:
Before Kincaid completed the background for his question, News Corp. chairman Rupert Murdoch interrupted Kincaid to say that he appreciated Cliff's work on this matter, and that Hill had been "fired" last week.
We look forward to confirmation of this report. If accurate, it is a major improvement to Fox News and cable news in general. People of every side of the political spectrum should appreciate a robust debate, but radicals of Marx Lamont Hill's ilk do not merit a seat on the highest rated program in news, The O'Reilly Factor.
David Horowitz started the ball rolling when he questioned why Bill O'Reilly interviewed Hill, a "hip-hop culture" expert, for an entire segment about Iran. Then NewsReal bloggers, Cliff Kincaid, and others began digging... (More after jump.)

No kidding. I mostly caught him on O’Reilly’s show. Doesn’t he check these people out more carefully?

Hasn’t the guy admitted to being a socialist?

Let's be fair and balanced about this and get rid of O’reilly as well.
He's the only one on Fox who prompts me to change channels unless he has an interesting guest on the show. Whenever he's on alone I watch something else. He tries to come off as a moderate but what comes across are inconsistencies and insincerities

His support of the cop-killing Hero of the Left, whatsisname, may have tipped the scale.

He means well, but he just doesn’t get it. I have to cringe almost every time I watch the show, so I don’t. -------------------------- I agree. It must be his ability to get interesting interviews. I can't understand how his ratings are so high. It must be the timeslot itself and not O'reilly himself. In his clumbsy attempt to appear as a reasonable moderate he comes across as inconsistent and insincere which just confuses watchers. He brags, beating his chest, about challenging politicians to dare to come on his show and once they do come he rolls over and plays dead throwing out low velocity softballs at them.

Shepard Smith. He was just embarrassing during the balloon story yesterday.Omigod I can just imagine. I remember his hysterical incoherent blubbering during Katrina. Let him go back to his florist and interior decorating business.

Hill’s replacement to support the positions of the left will be Newt Gingrich. --------------------------- lol

OReilly is in cahoots with zer0, mark my wordsO'Reilly is in cahoots with anyone he thinks can advance his career. I recall how shamelessly he trolled for an interview with Hillary during the election campaign. He would have crowned her Queen of the May if she had responded.

Cliff Kincaid put it well, thus:
This "stand-up guy" has a contract with Fox News Channel to provide left-wing commentary and serve as a punching bag for O'Reilly for a fee. Still, what did O'Reilly and the other FNC hosts, including conservative Sean Hannity, know about Hill's service to the ACLU and the far-left?
If they can bash the Obama Administration for not vetting left-wing radical Van Jones, shouldn't they explain how Marc Lamont Hill was hired and who hired him?

I like Beckel.
I actually don’t mind him at all and he has mellowed over the years. He’s also made some admissions that most liberals would not have made. He is definitely leftist but that’s needed to be balanced. Most of us really do want to hear the other side.

Hill defends the democRATs whose very existance hinges on keeping America’s blacks on the plantation and dependent on government. He is a racist and should never have been hired by FNC. Good riddance.

wild-eyed lunatic came on and started speaking in 1,000 word sentences.
LOL, good way to put it. Actually I was quite impressed with him. He could go 1,000 words or more without taking a breath and do so with breathtaking speed.

Yeah, I almost turned it off. I did turn it off the other night when they had on some “comedienne” who led off a segment about Obama with a “Bush’s fault!” comment.
