COLLEGE STATION, Texas More than 500 protesters gathered at Texas A&M University this afternoon, denouncing President Barack Obama as a socialist ahead of his arrival for a forum on volunteerism.
Former President George Bush, who has a library and school of public policy on campus, had asked critics to keep their vitriol in check as he joined the current president in celebrating 20 years of his Points of Light effort a cause that has provided common ground for all four of the most recent presidents.

Hug your mom for me....
You are nuts, IMO.
GWB wasn't the best POTUS ever but he wasn't the worst!
Remember???? Ross Perot
Yes, and I didn't vote for him.
Student Center Commemorates Fallen Aggies
Construction began in the late 1940s and the Memorial Student Center was officially dedicated on Muster Day, 1951, to all Aggies who died in the first two World Wars.
Then we would have already had amnesty. Do you really miss that?
Yep, I did some looking and the Ted Kennedy service act appears to have repealed Points of Light.
the good news — I’m sure Obama asked Bush to issue etiquette rules for the occasion.
Bush did it.
No one listened.
Bush off hook.
Mission Accomplished.
With Obummer and this Democrat Congress, you’re going to have amnesty anyway.
Bush’s version would have been netter.
I have friends who bused 150 miles to protest at A&M today.
Also, I believe it's still true, that Texas A&M has a larger ROTC corps than any of the military academies...but that might no be true today. When I think A&M, I think military...and that reveals my age.
>> So, Mr. New World Order Bush didnt want protesters, then he should pick his pals better! Thanks to all those who defied him and showed up to protest! <<
I wish Reagan would have picked a better VP in 1980.....
Someone like Jack Kemp or Bob Dole (before he went all RINO-y ).
Me too! Papa Bush had sold us out to the UN long before GW started his term. Like father, like son! The apple don't fall too far from the tree.
I’m over Bush too. I’m beginning to hate them all. They are all corrupt and none of them give a sh*t about us little people. We need to kick them all out and start over and use the damn CONSTITUTION!
Why? He had that and didn’t take advantage of it.
You are a dumb@$$ of gigantic proportions...pull your head out of your anus and let your brain access oxygen!
Stop your ranting about GW Bush.
It’s Bush #41 who has his library at TAMU and is meeting with Obama.
yeah whats he ‘running’ for now....he won....let him stay in DC and work, not run for office again and again...
Trust me, your dog hates Obama. Dogs are very astute judges of human nature.

I live here in Bryan-College Station. This is NOT obama country. As to the Bush’s Ididn’t care for George HW and do think we could’ve done better than GeorgeW. However, Our current state of affairs is the result of having gone about 45 years too long without a revolution or civil war. We have allowed a gang of crooks and communists to hijack the government. And they will remain in power as long as they can convince the non- productive members of society to vote for them in exchange for a free ride.
There are no consequences for their actions, so why should they not screw us every chance they get? Just my opinion...
I will the next time I see her! :)
screw service.
