COLLEGE STATION, Texas More than 500 protesters gathered at Texas A&M University this afternoon, denouncing President Barack Obama as a socialist ahead of his arrival for a forum on volunteerism.
Former President George Bush, who has a library and school of public policy on campus, had asked critics to keep their vitriol in check as he joined the current president in celebrating 20 years of his Points of Light effort a cause that has provided common ground for all four of the most recent presidents.

We need pictures.
I’d take either guy over this wipe Barry right now, that’s for sure.
Why does Bush senior continue to kawtow to the dem presidents that are horrible to his own son? It makes me have less respect for him and he looks like a lightweight.
Yes! We do.
And many thanks to our fellow Patriots in Texas!!
GHWB spit out the word A.S.S. when speaking about some woman in the audience. SNL just got a new script written.
I don’t ever listen to Rush. I don’t know what Texas A&M Admin did, but all of the news reports clearly said GHWB was subtle about it and only issued the letter, which I provided a link to, and it said nothing about protesters. But some on here have a bad case of BDS, so it probably doesn’t matter what he did or didn’t do, they’d still bash him. Whatever...
Yep, I’m one with a major case of BDS. He led us to a place we may never recover from, and America suffers because of it.
What to the following have in common?
Gore, Dukakis, Kerry, Clinton, Karl Marx, and Mao Tse Dung?
They are all to the Right of Obama.
You blaming Bush for the actions/inactions of congress on Fannie and Freddie, Barney Frank and Chris Dodd?
Oh PLEEEEZE!
The above was suppose to be sarc.
And you talk about someone having BDS? You and Ross in a place where life is beautiful all the time...
Ross who?
I may be mistaken, but I thought I read the new service bill and one of the first, if not the first thing it did was REPEAL points of light?
Remember???? Ross Perot—where life is beautiful all the time? And I did not change the subject. Let me put it as plain for you as I can: GWB was the WORSE thing to ever happen to America—Obama is on the fast track to take the position away, but without GWN Obama would never be in the seat now.
I don’t recall, but it would not surprise me. But, we are certainly making nice now.
My mother was at the protest and she stated there was at least 1000 people there.
