Menopause was not kind to Nancy. She must retain quite a bit of water.

And she's lost most of her mind to go with it.

MSNBC to Rush Limbaugh: When did you stop making racist statements?

Let the record reflect that MSNBC attributed statements to Rush Limbaugh that he did not make.

“I predict Limbaugh will settle with most of these slanders and pocket between 5 and 20 million in damages.”

Since Rush is currently enjoying a $400 Million contract, I doubt what you suggest will happen. I predict he will NEVER settle because they would get away with what they have done.

>>> This is how far into the sewer the US media has fallen. <<<<

The media - meaning all media at all times and in all places - has always been one step from the sewer.

In the USA they’ve simply created a few myths such as “objective journalism,” and built some schools of advanced propaganda such as at Columbia, to legitimize their trade and make you believe they’re more honest and sophisticated observers than the average Joe.

They’re not. They never were. They never will be.

The myth of some Grand Old Era of “objective” reporting never existed.

Doesn’t matter now. The damage has been done. They’ll pretend to wring their hands and lament about shoddy reporting.

This is how far into the sewer the US media has fallen. And they enjoy swimming in the feces.

How is the still relatively small alternate media going to make the majority population understand the true nature of the Jurassic media they are listening to. Until all of America understands what happened to the Jurassic media, we are still not going to win elections.

In the good old days, duels were fought over when one’s honor was besmirched.

Probably the main reason that liberals want to ban handguns.

It should have been rather obvious that the quotes were fabricated. Does anyone think Rush could have said those things without losing his job, or at the very least causing a huge, national uproar?

Don Imus was fired for a far less offensive statement and Glen Beck has been under a tremendous amount of fire, simply for saying that Obama (who spent 20 years as a proud member of a racist hate group, and made at least 2 racist comments during the campaign) is a racist.

If Rush had really praised slavery and called James Earl Ray a hero, nearly every Conservative would have condemned him and called for his firing.

That’s why he said this crap, so they can say later that they said “all along that we couldn’t verify them”.

These people in the state run media are so full of BS. Now that the damage has been done they look into the sources. I guarantee if the story was still alive they would not care one whit about the accuracy.

I think it matters very much to us conservatives, I would be greatly disappointed if he lets them off the hook. Beating them would be a victory for America. Win one for the team, Rush!!!!

Here's how it works. A blogger (or in the old days, a gossip tabloid) publishes some sort of trash. The "mainstream media" rather than reporting the false quote, reports that the source reports the false quote (which is true that the false quote was reported). They don't bother to investigate the falsehood. They don't bother to check with the sources of the false quote and they don't bother to contact the person they claim to be quoting to verify that the quote was true.

All that matters is that they are reporting that someone else is reporting something that may or may not be true. By citing the source they wipe themselves from liability for investigating the veracity of the original quote.

They've pulled that crap on Sarah Palin ever since last November. It made no difference to them whether it was true. All that matter was that somebody else "reported" it and it made the subject look bad.

If this ever goes to court, you will see this will be their defense for spreading lies. And yet, at the same time, they will continue to moralize about what a vital role they have in filtering and fact-checking the news as opposed to those vile bottom-feeders on the internet.

MSNBC, otherwise known as the propaganda arm of the DNC.

What amazes me is that they have the gall to accuse Fox of not being a source of realiable news. It's hillarious, actaully.
