OK, so...

is it just the sale of new bigscreens that is affected?

Or is it existing ones in homes that will be banned as well?

If the latter - does Molon Labe come to mind?

This is hysterical. Let the liberals step up to the plate and sit in the dark without entertainment for a change. They’re the ones squawking about energy usage, but doing nothing to alter their own behavior to solve the problem??

Found the nub of the issue.

Californica wants to avoid the construction of a new power plant.

Where in the Constitution do they find authority to do this?

They should start by banning Hollywood first.

Actually, I’ll bet this is reverse psychology...they are trying to increase the sales of over 40” TV’s for the Christmas season!

Experts say that the large LCD or plasma screen sets can use three times as much power as traditional models.

But...but I can't watch Monday Football on a 27" screen.

Article 3F. It says plasma sets larger than 67" (diagonal) are forbidden from domestic use because they lead to increased energy demands leading to rolling blackouts, and also cause increased emission of greenhouse gases. For LCD sets the constitutional limit is much greater - 146" I think.

I went to Phoenix one weekend for a visit with friends. Saw an adv for a giant screen TV at the retailer Fry’s. Great price. Bought it. Looks like AZ and NV will be selling alot of TV’s. (Also handgun ammo after 1 Jan 10.)

I’m sure this is just for the masses - do you actually think Pelosi or gollywood is going to go without?
