Obama job approval drops to 49% in latest Fox News poll. Only 43% would vote to re-elect him today.

In what may be the ultimate job rating, 43 percent of voters say that they would vote to re-elect President Obama if the 2012 election were held today, down from 52 percent six months ago, from April 22-23, 2009.

Obama's job approval rating comes in at 49 percent this week. That's down just one percentage point from late September, but it marks a new low approval for the president -- and the first time the Fox News poll has measured his approval below 50 percent.

Moreover, the number of Americans saying they would vote to re-elect President Obama has dropped. If the election were held today the poll finds more voters say they would back someone else in the 2012 election than would back the president.

Despite winning the Nobel Peace Prize last Friday, the latest Fox News poll finds the president's ratings on foreign issues are lower than his overall job ratings. All in all, 49 percent of Americans say they approve of the job President Obama is doing and 45 percent disapprove. His average approval for the term so far is 58 percent.

On Afghanistan, 41 percent of Americans say they approve of the job Obama is doing and 43 percent disapprove. For his handling of Iran, 44 percent approve and 43 percent disapprove. On the president's handling of the economy, voters are almost equally split: 48 percent approve and 49 percent disapprove. On health care, some 42 percent approve of the president's performance and half disapprove, 50 percent.

Opinion Dynamics Corp. conducted the national telephone poll of 900 registered voters for FOX News from October 13 to October 14. The poll has a 3-point error margin.

Sounds like a whole lot of “voter remorse” has set in.

They need someone to split the conservative vote. Bloomy can’t do that. He can only steal the voters who think Zero isn’t authoritarian enough for them.

Bloomberg will be 69 in 2012, and if he cruises to re-election on November 3, which I believe he will, I think he will seriously consider an Independent bid for the WH in 2012.

Only 10 percent of the people in Russia belonged to the Communist Party.

We are still fighting a rising tide of people who want free stuff. Add in 20 million illegals as citizens and the Founding Fathers’ ideal of limited government and individualism will be something the ruling majority will laugh at. We are already considered extremist for quoting the Constitution or the Founding Fathers.

The free stufff is diminishing in value. The $250.00 he is giving to seniors doesn’t have much curb appeal in my mind.

Forty three percent is way too much, it needs to go to fourteen percent so that any Dim who wants to be reelected will avoid the O and his policies like the plague and he will be squashed in the election. He won’t do what Johnson did and just not run for reelection, he is far too narcissistic for that. The thing to do now is heap on the ridicule, he can’t take that.

What scares me is that they are NOT running scared from these polls. Usually pols live and die by the polls... I have never seen government so deaf to the will of the people,

Bingo. And I believe the reason they are so obstinately, willfully ignoring public opinion is because they know the fix is in for future elections. They can do anything they want in terms of voter fraud, intimidation, out-and-out stealing. I mean, who's gonna stop 'em.... the media? Ha.

The time is fast approaching when there will be no "moderate" fence to sit on, folks. Things are going to get very, very ugly in communities all across this country.

Yep, once Not-Amnesty-That's-Really-Amnesty is put in place, the Dems will really secure their strongholds. And IIRC, most of the "stimulus" payola kicks in early in 2012...? Enough time for the MSM to run lots of "Whew... see folks, it really DID work! Look at all the MONEY your programs have now!" You think the dumbed-down ninnies who put this guy in office (i.e., "independents") won't fall for it again?

So effectively, his rating is 43%, not 49%. No wonder the Dems are trying to ram through everything they can now. They know they have a small window of opportunity.

Yep. Too early to start celebrating.

Obama has lost the vote of almost all Independents who voted for him.

Speaking of that...I almost expect Hillary to resign as SoS, and run against Obama as an Independent in 2012...

My question is this: Does anyone from the conservative side have a concrete set of plans concerning what they will do if they are in office the next go round?

We should have more than vote for us because we ain't Barack.

How will we go about dismantling all of the errors before the next election. If health care passes, can we revoke it?

We need an outline of what needs to be done to undo what has and will happen, and to then do what should have been done in the beginning to get the private sector working again.

Sure he’ll consider it, he’s an egomaniac who’s completely oblivious to his own utter lack of charisma. But he doesn’t have the ability to pull voters from the right like Perot did, and he’s incapable of breaking the spell Zero has on the leftists. He will never be a factor in a national election.

The 43% may leave a mark, but the number should be much lower and the mark much larger. He needs to be and stay in the 30’s before I’ll have any “hope” for a “change.”

Which is why it should be our numer one goal to nominate a true conservative in 2012.
