Imus rattling MSNBC nerves
NEW YORK POST ^ | October 15, 2009

Joe Scarborough is under intense pressure to perform as he goes head-to-head with old foe Don Imus.

MSNBC chiefs have been nervously watching the ratings since Imus' show on the Fox Business Network started airing at the same time as Scarborough's "Morning Joe" earlier this month.

Scarborough was hit with a further blow this week when his radio show was dropped by DC radio station WMAL.

A source told Page Six: "Those higher up at MSNBC are unnerved by Imus' move to Fox Business Network and fear his show could push Scarborough down. They're putting a lot of pressure on Joe to keep the ratings up. To make things worse, there are multiple scores to be settled."

Tom Bowman, Imus' old producer at MSNBC, jumped to Fox Business with him, and is said to have harsh feelings toward Scarborough and his executive producer, Chris Licht. "So they [Imus and Bowman] are out to win," said our source.

Imus is enough to get on anyone’s nerves.

It is like watching an unhappy grouch with a hangover.

Do you have Dish Network of DirecTV? AFAIK, there is no “Dish TV”.

I wasn't aware of this. And Bigfoot Bowman may know where the interns bones are buried.

I have Dish TV but I still haven't found the new Fox Financial Network

Ours has it at channel 206, the next channel after Fox News at 205. Check to see if you have the right set of channels. Since we get all 500+ channels we have it. If you have a smaller package it may not be included.

Joe S. falls all over himself to excuse every Democrat fault by claiming that Republicans do the same thing. If he ever ended up at Fox I would never watch him. He is a media WHORE.

I have Time Warner, and have no idea where Fox Business News would be.

I have TW too and they've hidden FBN really well -- they're no friends of Murdoch. In my area it's channel 97 or some such, way out of the popular groupings.

There's no one more deserving of an ass-kicking than RINO Joe. I hope Imus and Ailes deliver a good one.

It gets worse for MSNBC. As soon as FOX Business gets picked up by the biggest cable company in the country the audience will really grow.

And Bigfoot Bowman may know where the interns bones are buried.

If so, Joe had best tread carefully.

Scarborough could have held onto his integrity and been the sole voice of reason at MSNBC. Instead he went for the quick fame -- and we discover he had no integrity to begin with. Good riddance.

I don’t get Imus.

Did not get him back when he had been exiled
to 1220AM in Cleveland, and don’t get him now.

But I would root for a Test Pattern if it was
beating MSNBC in the ratings (which it probably would).
